Breck was deep today....14" or so. Imperial Chair never opened, but caught the rope drop out onto Peak 7 from the tbar.....tittays. Tomorrow will be great as well.
Old's Cool.
Tomorrow will be amazing. Winter Park is the #1 front range junk show these days.
What's up C, that was nice adrenaline in boundary chutes. Put the second track down my line.
Today was good. Got a late start but still plenty of stuff to be had. Looking forward to tomorrow. Forecast says highs in the mid 20's, with a possible -10 WC but only 5mph winds. Somethings missing there but there is a bit more of a bite in the air. Almost feels like January.
10+ in Telluride today, got a bunch of rope drops off the Plunge lift and Apex. No lift lines by 2pm because people got after it so hard in the AM. Going to have to make a bulk order of pTex now, but worrrrtth it.

steamboat did not suck yesterday. driving home did.
Lots of good leftovers today out there. Nice and deep in spots. Super windy above treeline with very touchy windfucked snow. Be careful!
Pano at MJ opened today.
Was closed the entire storm (16" three day total).
Good stuff up there.
In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...
It snowed for 24 hours. 3 days?
It actually opened on Sunday around 9AM. Got on third chair.
...then proceeded to sit on said broken down chair for 50 min. We were treated to $10 in Winter Park bucks for our troubles.
Got a great run down once they got us all off, but they never opened again that day. Must've been great yesterday.
hows coverage up at Berthoud? still a sharkfest after the last storm?
Holy windfuck at Breck today!
I’ve never seen it so bad in spots, especially in mid January. There was an inch or two fresh this morning which led to some great skiing in the windloaded spots. Cucumber bowl was $$$
Lots of sastrugi up high. It was windy as fuck and imperial didn’t even look worth it.
Aspen didn’t have any wind and was just gorgeous.
Tons of parasails. I don’t know if it’s been the great weather or if it’s just becoming a lot more popular.
Per Al’s blog, the Steep Gullies has a limited opening today 🤙
He also cautions it’s the Basin’s most difficult terrain. I’ve never been in there but is it really much harder than 1st Notch, 2nd Notch and other hike-to spots like Snorkel Nose?
Most importantly, are there any mandatory huck spots? I would prefer to avoid those at this stage.
