7-10" in Aspen and still snowing.
I have a meeting at 9am in Glenwood this morning. You're welcome everyone.
Snow stake is looking pretty impressive since they cleared it this morning.
What's the deal with the free parking on Wednesdays at Highlands? Their site mentions something about getting a sticker from the Aspen parking office. True, or is it free for everyone? Will be there tomorrow, free parking would be a bonus.
Blower out there today.
There was a bit of a wind chill out there today. Another reason to stay/slay in the trees. So good.
Pretty reactive wind slabs in the park this morning. Stupid cold with the wind in open areas. Low angle trees kind of day for sure. We were able to kick a couple sloughs off along the steeper sections of the skin track without trying too hard
Today: I dub thee one of the best days of the season.
It was fucking deep!
Found some really wind blown snow at copper. But if you found the right spots it was pretty awesome out there today!
Waste deep!
The wind was doing work today at Berthoud. Found some really good turns in N facing and very sheltered pockets below treeline, but things are starting to get a little reactive. Some cracking under foot, but nothing moving. Most of the alpine is wind-hammered.
Highlands went off today.
I headed up to Snowmass yesterday, between 15-25" of snow, anything with a slight N touch skied amazing, everything E was loaded.

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
Nope, my first time skiing there in over 22 years of living in CO. I've never been able to justify the ticket since I've always had a pass elsewhere.
Yeah, great vibe and awesome mountain! Pretty easy drive actually. Took me just over 2 hours each way from Dillon. Bit of a shitshow on 22 where it loses a lane by the airport but no worries. Stoked to have one more day there on my Mtn Collective pass.
They will have some post season weekends, discounted for all passes.
