NOAA, they have the best data.....and they often do not provide the total and "actual" data, they throw out what does not agree with their agenda. Granted, I want them to receive funding for certain important projects, but ultimately, the sun, our star is the biggest driver of weather and our long term climate. We are seeing a increase in the magnetic field weakening 5% greater over a shorter period than any other time measured. While even the smartest among us at MIT still say this is speculative at best, the worse case scenario along with a unexpected volcanic eruption ( or 3 at once) could send our modern way of life into real chaos.

Weather is weather, and the climate is changing. We can ignore the signs and suffer the consequences for our inaction.

Massive investment in solar is a mistake at the expense of maintaining fossil/coal energy production for an impending mini type ice age, or if we really get unlucky and a volcano pops. I know it sounds contradicting, but certain northern latitude areas can't make the drastic change to "alternative" as fast as the UN expects.

We need massive conservation of our fuels is the bottom line,

Thanks for revealing how out of touch with reality you are. Keep repeating those memes..you are good at it.

it is space weather news, a solar observatory.

The sun is the biggest driver of the earths climate, with correlations to causing earthquakes and other disruptions, it is fact, not the weatherman making up some bullshit to collect a paycheck....

keep playing troll it is fun to see you dismiss things you dont research.

Anyone who would be swayed by a five minute video, over the mountains of published data and opinions, is a moron.

Hut trip this weekend, so I won't be on your slopes or your roads (during peak times). Hoping for some goods in the 11,000'+ north facing trees.

we found goods in N-facing above 10,400' on saturday, i'd hope things stayed cold above 11,000' but who knows with this impending ice age...

I have read all the data......what's happening is not what you assume it to be. We need to use alternatives to fossil fuels NOW, on a massive scale, we need to conserve fossil fuels wildly and urgently, we need to lower CO2 emissions in dense urban areas and known locations (smog prone areas and/or high desert locations). We need to maintain coal, for many reasons.

Our sun drives it all. Other than a historical (not alternative fact) volcano that erupts for 10+ years causing a REAL fucking ice age, solar Minimums or Maximums and solar magnetic forces, have the greatest impact on earth's climate over historical periods, not our fossil combustion changing weather in some areas, sometimes......hahahaha

I'm not arguing some conspiracy science either, this is a real solar observatory system, with multiple solar observation tools. They also have model for earthquake prediction running too, as earthquakes are known to be Coronal Mass Ejections, or CME driven. (this is also not a alternative fact, but CME's causing some types of earthquakes are close to proven theory).

I have sprint and usually have enough service to get out a text message but that's about it. Been twice in a few years and same story both times.

Do you know a guy named Charlie Martin who lives in dillon? He's always out there gliding/speedflying. If not I'll have to get you in touch with him! He's always looking for partners.

With weather in the mid 60's, dry trails, patios open, etc. the tourists in Summit may outnumber the front rangers this weekend.

Here's what the hut master said:

"Cell service is not great. I can usually get a text out but not always voice. Iyt's better if you go out a couple hundred feet to the south o the hut."

I've heard the name (he's got a ton of videos) but I haven't ran into him. Apparently he's speedflown the back side of Breck (Sky chutes), would love to be able to get out there when the winds are right. Yea reach out to him for me
