Any idea how quickly CB can get some of the extremes open in the wake of this storm? I am seriously considering dropping everything to ski CB on Thursday.

With only 4 cars up there I could lap Mainline all day and be perfectly content.

I’d be stoked to lap Mainline too!
If this soggy shit weather in San Jose is any indicator, the rest of the week is going to be really good.
Who would have thought on December 1st it be this crazy in CO, with Crested Butte leading the charge?

Amazing morning @ Keystone, the new Snowbird. Outback trees and N/S Bowl opening was knee to waist deep and pretty blower. Cannot believe I'm saying this about Keystone. Thank you Clemson!!

Keystone was deep. Keystone had a delayed opening on some lifts.

Abasin was deep, and now they are closed.

Everything open except Zuma and East Wall. I heard upper lifts weren't open long d/t wind. Pali was fun from what I was told.

Beaver Creek was solid today. Not many people on the hill. First time ever getting untracked powder down the birds of prey runs. Also skied all the usual spots on a powder day. So good.

Just meditating on conditions... I wouldn't be shocked to see many of the steep near and above treeline that were closed today closed tomorrow. One snow safety patroller said that might be the case. We are going to get another 8-12 inches of snow with 20-30mph winds on top of a snowpack that is already at the high end of high NTL/ATL. Mitigating in those conditions is sketch. Things are running R5D4. Remember a CB patroller took a ride yesterday.

Appreciate the info. May need to head to keystone or somewhere lower but tomorrow works well for a day off from work so I'll head up anyway. Could be an interesting drive if 70 doesn't open

Keystone has been having a good year this year for sure!

I think the fact that they moved the snowstake a couple years ago from Dercum mountain to north peak has also really helped pad their numbers.

Dercum mountain definitely gets less snow than North Peak and the outback. That's cool with me though because most of the skiing you would want to do is back there anyhow, so having the snow stake in that location makes sense.

It will be interesting to see the averages at keystone now vs a few years ago.... I know Dercum mountain used to average only 220 inches a year... seeing how keystone is already at 160 inches this season I think they will blast through that total.

And vail is the big loser so far this season ? Wtf?

Also I am in Mexico right now so you guys can all thank me for this snow. And Alabama losing.
