Hello winter!
Hello winter!
ROLL TIDE ROLL
This snow is of the blower variety....big flat flakes of low-density.
Old's Cool.
Anyone know what Beaver Creek is opening today and tomorrow? Currently contemplating between Vail and Beaver Creek for tomorrow.
I think it won't be as bad as a mid winter weekend. Not too many people wanting to "waste" Vail days early.
Perhaps but they've got the most terrain in the state open and they're pimping that fact....it's gonna be crowded
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Anyone know if Winter Park is going to open anything in Mary Jane this weekend?
Breck was on point today. Pretty much had knee deep tree runs off peak 8 by Duke all day. Hardly any lines, caught a rope drop too. Surprisingly good cover, the snow was heavy enough to be surfy and cover stuff. GPOs got a a few medium sized scratches, perfect ski choice for the day. Got a whole days worth of skiing in in 3.5 hours without any lines

Epic Local passes are blacked out this weekend. Best to stay in Summit.
Blackout Dates:
Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar & Kirkwood are restricted 11/25/16–11/26/16, 12/10/16–12/25/16, 12/26/16–12/31/16, 1/14/17, 2/18/17–2/19/17.
Vail was pretty fucking awesome today. China and Ch 10 opened and the wind did its magic in the previously opened terrain. Mountain was pretty empty. Blue Sky opening either tomorrow or Sun. Mongolia, Red square and Rasps yet to open.
Its early season and a blackout weekend. Might not be as bad as you'd think.
Black out weekend?

grateful not to have to deal with blackout days.
Ajax was great again. I love that we don't report on the eastern side of the mountain, so every time you drop into that aspect it's like a little gift.

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
I heard it's gonna be warm, but it might snow a little?
In early December a few years back about 12/8 or so around Birds of prey it had been snowing like this for a while and I kept my eye on the gate at elk elk and sure enough them boys dropped the rope and I slid over looked at the patroller rolling the rope up and he just pointed and smiled. 25 people place empty no one had been any where was unreal.
I noticed the day before they groomed the cream cheese and saw only two pairs of tracks from the cliff band down to the chair and sure enough next open.
So chance em' go early.
The dreaded "R" word arrived. Was afraid of this.
