It is indeed a poopy day in Aspen. I welcome the cool temps and moisture, gonna fire up the oven tonight and do some homemade pizzas for dinner.

I'm just rationalizing my decision, to cancel my weekend trip there, in order to go to a funeral.
I'm sure the moisture is welcome and will make the trails perfect.

The RFV finally got a good rain through most locations... Enjoying coffee and the PNW vibe.

Fun drive over Fall River and Trail Ridge, completely socked in and raining hard. Clouds broke in Grand County for a great sunset

Great pics everyone. But, jeezus Christ, Rocket/Lightning/what ever user name you chose. Weather thread, not boot thread. You chime in with the most retarded comments. Yes, I'm a lurker, at least I'm not posting stupid shit. Loving this cool, moist weather right now, BTW!

Yeah, this is not something to be cheery about. Seriously, the shitty layer that this is going to create will have ramifications all season.

    IT WILL MELT

Pretty much count on a buried weak layer in CO regardless of how much snow falls early season. It's just easier that way.

    Edit: what he said^^

    hahaha,

snow melted already.....at least the actual good news is the snowguns will be coming out soonish.

Oct 11 pow day I bet. I remember another colorado la nina year, early and "heavy" CO style start, zero for winter solstice ice pain, and then hit and miss spring.
