The Crestones are amazing. Easily some of the most enjoyable 14ers.

Great pics. I'm not a 14ers kinda guy but I definitely need to get down there and climb the Crestones.

Solid working camping above 11.5K, my efforts that high usually yield shit weather, no cover and minimal firewood.

Our camp was literally feet from treeline just east of the lower lake. Lots of good spots within a 1/4 mile of the lake. We definitely lucked out with weather - right now with this surge of monsoon moisture, I'm sure it's pretty uncomfortable there.

I'm glad they moved the 4x4 Colony Lakes trailhead back 2.5 miles. I think it's helping keep that area wild. I didn't fish, but you could see huge fish in both lakes. That is one special area. Limitless terrain including the 14ers.

I'll throw some other random summer stoke out there. Checked out the Rawah Wilderness earlier this month, stellar area with hardly anyone around. Seems like a very, very wet place. Man, there's a lot of good stuff up the Cache! Winter access would require 10 mile snowmobile -> 7 mile skin, so yeah....

Beautiful up in the Indian Peaks today. Hotter and drier than previous summers it seems like. Surprisingly crowded for a Monday. Tourists everywhere. I caught a 16 inch brook trout and also saw moose. Plenty of mosquitos about.

Pretty big for a brook trout.

I hit Ye Olde snow patch for a few runs on Sunday

Dirty and lumpy in spots = par for the course this time of year

Random question: does anyone here SUP on Lake Dillon? Is it miserably cold this time of year if you fall in?

HGC - how were the mosquitos up in the Rawahs? I've been up there some summers where it is almost unbearable. Beautiful area. Need to get back up there. Also really want to explore the west side of that range.

Bugs seem to be more manageable this summer as a whole. I think because its been kinda dry.

What part of BC is this? Further up Stone Creek out of the gates?

Nice and cool today- rode the newly opened first segment of the Clear Creek Canyon bike path. Really nice and you get great access to fishing, kayaking and watching rafters. They did a great job on it, with lots more miles to be built.
