Crushed this storm. Without the wind it would have been insanely deep all over. Still we rode deep powder. Thank you for long track snowmobiles.

Dang... a lot of people working very hard for some shallow pow over windstrip
I skied a lot of shin to knee over good base... faceshot city. Even found one waist turn... nice...
I wonder how Abasin was? Perhaps a mixture of breakable and unbreakable wind buff with an occasional waist deep turn?

Other stuff was okay in some places and terrible in others.
All I know if WP skied great all over. Belle was balls deep and the top wasnt wind fucked at all. Great two days for me with LL yesterday.
I'd guess the beavers skied well.
I french kissed Kelly Kapowski.
Loveland had patches of wind scour here and there, and odd places compared to where they usually are due to the eastern wind. But where it was good it was really good.
Mary Jane was horrible.
I heard that Abasin had a bunch of downed trees yesterday from the wind. Crazy because LL was windy yesterday but it was nothing out of the ordinary.
Solid 24-30" in the park. No real wind to speak of, broke a lot of trail today which sucked! But damn that snow was fairly light for a warm spring storm. Was surprised by that
Skipped the lineup for the Basin and skinned Keystone with the dog. Really nice. First day at Keystone this season.
Skied a-basin as well, was one of the first people down Pali, was more scratchy underneath than I expected. Zuma skied nice although I hit a few buried rocks after jumping off a couple kickers. Talked to a patroller who skied lower east wall/LOTG, he was it was pretty scratchy underneath as well which is surprising considering that that run is low angle. Sounds like they are gonna open it tomorrow, they were blasting the upper east wall slide paths today.
Unofficial official St. Mary's tally well over 3 feet factoring in that the snow settled

This x100. I was shocked at how good the snow was considering the roads were clear all the to the parking lot. I'm also amazed that Abasin got beat so bad by the wind, there was NO wind in the park and based on how the snow was piled on the trees there never was any wind. I brought a 26 year old ultra marathon runner with me to break trail. Turned out to be a good move, I broke trail for a little while and plowing through thigh deep snow gets old quick.

Now that I'm done fucking with people, Berthoud today was goddamn ridiculous. Faceshots without even turning. Some of the deepest snow I've skied anywhere.
Got some awesome turns in yesterday
Lol... If that happened while I was away from the house, I would not be able to get home to find it, and it would not be awesome.. Plow truck got a serious workout this weekend. Had a great moment yesterday morning at about 5:15, while I was plowing the 8" we'd gotten since 10pm. I'm further down the road than I usually go, because I know the county isn't coming until the afternoon... So the road's a little unfamiliar, it's dark and puking snow, and I can't see shit already when a gust of wind blows a plume of snow over the top of the plow and totally covers the windshield... A split second later, I'm on my side in the ditch... I was lucky to push the right buttons... Get the plow up, hit the gas, crank up the wipers, etc... I continued on my side for about 50' when the truck miraculously found some purchase and crawled out. Was very nearly game over. Ended up being a fun ski day instead! I fucking love that truck...
