Snowing pretty good at the base of vail pass, where we are stuck just about 50 yds beyond the gates that patrol just closed behind me.

Hope this band of snow keeps a rolling. About 3" an hour dump at LL and WP. Checked the stakes at 2pm and there was nothing.

Should be start taking bets on when I70 closes and how many times it'll close over the next 24 hours?

I predict another shitshow of epic proportions when the sun goes down.

My guess the other day is 15 times, today through Monday. Number 1 down (VP closed). Only a matter of time till the next one.
I'm guessing Silverthorne to the tunnel, or more likely, Floyd Hill when the rain becomes snow.

I was just in G-Town heading east as they closed WB. It hadn't snowed 2" all day, let alone in an hour. Now sitting at 9600' facing NNE and while it's certainly snowing, it's hardly an event. I'm sure it's coming, but it ain't quite here yet.

Well the roads aren't as bad as the radio/CDOT make it seem in Summit yet, but the people driving like idiots will make sure that things get sporty. Big F250 just swerved into my lane, driver on his cell phone not paying attention.
