    lol. I love Eldora on the RMSP+. Not my favorite place but it has a place. I do wish they had some HS quads.

    Agreed. The wind really fucks the place over sometimes, but 1500 vert just 30 minutes away from Boulder is nice to have.

    Weekday pow days there can be $$$ with no lift lines. The trees can be sweet, and salto glade is one of the steepest runs in the state & it gets nicely wind loaded in there...

    Don't get me wrong, the place is horribly mismanaged, and could use some serious wind fencing (think zuma bowl at Abasin). The terrain park has to be the shittiest one in the state, and the lifts are painfully slow. & again, the wind really fucks the place.

    Nonetheless, I still enjoy Eldora and have had some awesome days skiing.

    The backcountry isn't too bad either, although it can be a wind slab nightmare.

    The IPW is rugged and beautiful.

    One of the steepest in the state, I don't know, and it's super short, but it is steep.

    I haven't been to Eldora since they added it to the rsmp+, even though I was psyched when they did. It is unbelievable how poorly that place is run. Still, I have a soft spot for it as it is the place that got me motivated to be a ski bum and move to Colorado (though I moved to Durango, which was a much better call).

    Lulz.

    Go ski... well, almost anything at Crested Butte, and get back to me.

    That statement is right up there with dascunt's claim that Super Bowl at LL is 50 degrees.

    I can't believe someone on this board just said "salto is one of the steepest runs in the state" and then doubled down and suggested people LOOK IT UP.

    Was it a really bad day in the Whole Foods parking lot today? You crazy.

    Number is irrelevant, it doesn't even pass the "Oh shit, this is steep" eyeball test....

    No dog in this battle...

    But Hillmap.com / CalTopo puts a good section of that run in the 35-45 degree range, with a tiny bit in 46-50 range.

    Maybe at 35 isn't not steep enough to make your butthole pucker. But 45 will cause most people to slow down in my experience.

    red = 35 - 45
    purple = 46 - 50

    I ain't see no purple

    Edit: It's not even a large section of the run that's >35

    40+ degrees in trees is certainly steep; Salto is steep. But it's a super short steep pitch. And it's nowhere near the steepest in the state.

    Ok I stand corrected...

    I swear I read somewhere that salto was in the top 10 steepest runs in the state. Maybe cut runs?

    Sorry for cunting up the thread everybody!!
