heres to hoping Abasin can get the east wall open before the next system. tues-fri was some awesome skiing around these parts!
Thin, but decent sun drenched powder in CB. Always humbled in this kind of terrain
Sun and powder is a great combo![]()
Hi and dry in telluride, send some our way, thought t-ride was suppose to b the El Niño spot? Driest February in a decade, two small storms in seven weeks, ouch that hurts.![]()
Seriously ^^
What happened to El Niño for T-Ride and Taos?
Up north, looking good for Wed/Thurs?
November seems late for Silverton. They usually have a pic of someone doing a slash turn in an isolated wind drift posted up on social media by October at the absolute latest.
The wind fucked a lot of above treeline areas. Hoping actual spring storms solves this. Entrances to big mtn lines are bare.
Its probably been one of the windiest seasons I've seen. Its fucked with us all year.
Yup, it's been fairly amazing - looking at the wind scouring on perhaps 270 degrees of aspects in the I-70 area around the divide. I can't recall ever seeing this much bare ground in the alpine in an average snow year.

Hopefully this week's system will be a bit more mellow in terms of wind.
On another note. It's fucking hot down in Denver.
Last night was windy as hell at the house. I leave today for Houston for work....it'll dump. You're welcome.

ROLL TIDE ROLL

Batten down the hatches.
Looking suspiciously snirty out there.
Down here in Durango we've got a giant dust storm right now. What the fuck man...
With the wind at vail today, I wouldn't be surprised if this storm is less than white.
I rode that tailwind the whole way home from Fruita this afternoon.... 40+ mph wind means my truck was getting 25 mpg!![]()
