Wow. South buttress Coon Hill. Couple nice lines go through, used to ski em in April corn.

One of them, I think the one he got flushed down, has a dramatic view looking down the line: all you can see through the keyhole like crux is semis whizzing by on the interstate!

No news is good news around the west portal.

So.....this incoming storm looks quite strong. GFS timing and precip amounts have been largely unchanged since Sunday.

Is there something else you should be looking for? NOAA summed it up quite well.
A huge winter storm system may bring heavy snow to the region beginning on Friday night. This storm may be a prolonged event that could continue into Tuesday

Pretty warm today. Thinking about skiing vail / the beav tomorrow.

How are things holding up? Much suncrust? How about north facing terrain? Still holding up ok?

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it for my buddy to buy a day ticket or not.

Heading to Steamboat through Fort Collins. Heard of a shortcut through Rand that takes some mileage and avoid Walden, but also heard it's quite desolate....any beta?

Blizzard on the way. Shortcut. Desolate. Sounds like the makings of a Dateline survival episode😉

If you have to ask...probably more snomos than trucks. Stop at the store in Gould and they'll give you this info. If you're planning on driving in Jackson County after 7pm...good luck.

Staying on 14 would be wise. I'll save this for a sunny day. Thanks

I take that in the summer. Have never done in it winter. It's dirt road when you turn off 14 initially (CR27), then paved around Rand (125), then dirt again on CR28. Not sure how well it's plowed. I don't think it saves enough time to be worth it in the winter. It is beautiful and remote though.

Looks like the NWS is lowering expectations already for the Front Range... hopefully it all hits the mountains instead.

Good. Cannot stand the shitty drivers in the Urban Corridor. Plus the trails down here are dry!

Today was tits on the right aspect at Loveland. I had face shots deepness and multiple clean laps riding that good wave. Wind Loading, wind lips cornices in the middle of the slope, creating a perfect wave, whatever; wave of glory....and it was backhand slashed.
