Time to head to Taos, maybe?

Anyone have a good resource for avy info around the Sangres?

Looks like nnmae.org hasn't had any updates since last winter.

Trying to have fun. Took almost 2hrs to get up here after being stuck behind a subaru going about 10mph around every corner in Coal Creek. Now stuck in the queue to get in.

I wonder if today will show off the difference in people with the addition to the RMSP+ this year.

This little storm delivered. Ran around MJ until noon. Frontside early was fun, cirque headwall worth the hike, and untracked lines right under Eagle Wind at 10:30. A couple mild laps off Berthoud were consistent knee deep. Even I70 was manageable both ways. Have we entered the twilight zone?

Any good reason why lodging is jacked this weekend? Besides new snow? Film festival? Maybe it's like that all the time now, I haven't been in 7ish years. Basically anywhere from wp to vail.

If you had a choice between skiing tomorrow or Saturday, which would it be? The weekend storm is too far out to predict real numbers but it seems to be leaning towards some pretty major dumpage from the models.

Honestly, once you get over the butthurt in this thread and actually go skiing, it's been pretty fun lately. Most places have the bulk or all of their terrain open, and north facing stuff has been skiing soft and chalky. There's snow in the forecast. North facing stuff in the BC is silky recycled pow, and the avy danger isn't as high as it often is in February.

Nah, it's pure shit out there no matter what the aspect. Everyone should probably just stay at home and cry on their keyboards.

Agree...what good is a powder day when the new snow is trashed by 10am by powder starved weekend warriors? I'm sure all of Summit/Eagle is hoping for an I70 closure at 7:30 Sat.
