uhhhh.... so just 3 days ago wasn't everyone on here saying that this storm was going to completely miss any of the ski resorts?
but when I looked at the snowstake last night, all of the mountains got way more snow than denver metro area did?

a good surprise ! I would much rather everyone on here be wrong and we get some snow, and not the other way around.
a few more inches later this week maybe?
6" on Gwyn's stake, which is usually avg for our 4 mountains and a few inches low of whatever you can find in a more favorable spot... Happy with the storm and hope this next blast comes in as well as predicted![]()

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
That storm was a 1-2" storm until it wasn't. Most of the really cold air still slid east of the divide. It's 40 in town today and sunny while snowy and cold east of the tunnel. More snow this week and another shot of cold air. Feels good!

Winter storm watch from NOAA. I'm just looking at the Elks in the Aspen Area. Should be a very dangerous situation in the backcountry later this weekend. i.e. the infamous early November 2011 weekend in Little Cottonwood Canyon that claimed the life of one and saw roughly a dozen other unintentional triggers and carries.
Hoping for the top end of the watch, hope everyone stays safe!
