Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
This is how the 07/08 season started if I remember correctly. Bone dry until the first week of December, and then 4-5 feet of snow fell for the next 10-12 days. Granted, that was a la nina year. I still remember skiing Steamboat after they closed, and they got another 100" of snow. I also remember Chair 11 opening at Vail with a good 3 feet of new snow in the previous days before opening.
So, looking at bestsnow.net, records show it was dry everywhere in Colorado through November 30. Then, by December 16, about 5 feet of snow had fallen.

Plenty of low and high seasons started dry, but let's hit the PANIC button on November 2nd anyway![]()
Don't know what it means, but going on 36hrs of nonstop wind out east?
Winter Storm Warning for Vail:

What's your guess for how many I70 closures occur tomorrow. I have 4.
Newest 1-month outlook is for equal chances on precip, 2-week is dry as a bone. Ergo, pattern change in two weeks.

Don't change our pattern! Snow down to 2000 meters, first low elevation snow this fall! Time to get the firewood.
Some 10-15" totals in the W San Juans, Elks and Flat Tops![]()
SW flow magic, we got an inch! Still good to see snow on the ground.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
We did pretty good, 6" at the resorts and about an inch on the ground in town.

What elevation are we looking at? Anyone have an info on good snotel sites in the Elks?
Any chance A Basin opens the top this Friday? Anyone been up there this week?
Looks like Keystone opens Friday FWIW...
