anything can happen, you never know, dec 3rd it could start snowing and not stop for three months.............

then again scummit/vail area has been getting good snow for a 2 or 3 seasons now, there is always a dry year, you never get more than a couple good years in a row

I"m betting on snow but just below average, summits luck will be a big heavy lotsa snow spring though, my prodiction

and I was about ten mins from leaving on one of the last mtb rides and it's starting to flurry, you never know

    Thinking CB likes NW?

    Where's Golden Boy?
Straight up W is perfect for CB, WSW also very good. SW is hit or miss. NW is the worst, although Irwin gets pounded, which is why it gets twice as much as CB.

In other news, it's snowing rather nicely right now...

Hope you're right. First year without a pass in a long time so no WROD for me this year. My season isn't going to start til the base is built up a little bit or I get antsy enough to go ride some of the permanent snow fields.

This is how the 07/08 season started if I remember correctly. Bone dry until the first week of December, and then 4-5 feet of snow fell for the next 10-12 days. Granted, that was a la nina year. I still remember skiing Steamboat after they closed, and they got another 100" of snow. I also remember Chair 11 opening at Vail with a good 3 feet of new snow in the previous days before opening.

So, looking at bestsnow.net, records show it was dry everywhere in Colorado through November 30. Then, by December 16, about 5 feet of snow had fallen.

Newest 1-month outlook is for equal chances on precip, 2-week is dry as a bone. Ergo, pattern change in two weeks.
