Ok yeah I think that's Nokhu for sure. I really don't know the names of the pull offs up there very well. So I will take your word for it! That peak is towards the north of the never summers? If so I'm almost positive it's Nokhu. The first big turn to the west of avc is medicine bow curve I think and that view looks similar from there.

Correct. And from google imaging Nokhu, that looks like it for sure. Impressive looking peak that I had never noticed before...
Thankfully Trail Ridge wasn't too full of touristas yet. Wish I had my bike to take advantage of the quiet road.

Well people, I'm off to San Diego in the morning, not coming back til Loveland is spinning. The website says 3 months, 23 days til snowmaking. Loveland was really fun this year, actually Loveland all the way over to Montezuma with the pass and A Basin in between. Such a fun stomping ground that delivered all the powder I could want - I feel pretty spoiled. I do hope CDOT figures out how to get the pass open next year when it snows.
What I wanted to say before I signed out is that this is the best thread on TGR.

Yes, this is the best place for summer and we can enjoy various games on the ice like skating, skiing and many others.

Still good skiing up high. Pretty good freeze yesterday early on Independence. It got soft fast but skied well. 10am still seems to be the drop time for best conditions.

Light snow mid morning at the Basin, didn't see that coming.
Reveal is starting to show itself, and once the sun came out, it was hoppin' up there!

Super hard freeze Sunday night. Maybe too hard for a N face on Drift - spent hours waiting up top for steep N face to soften the icy rime stuff but it never really did.

Consolidated snow in the Front/Tenmile area. Solid freezes lately. As smitchell333 said, there has been a few reluctant thaws. Once it does thaw, snow surface remains essentially the same for hours. Consolidation!

Some great corn-skiing occuring late, as late as 7PM! Lightning remains a good reason to start early however.

Nice slush bumping at the Basin. Still good coverage for June. And Lake Reveal is barely showing. Click image for larger version.
