most of the time NOAA sucks when it comes to SW flow storms, especially in CB. We might get 2-4 from this storm if we're lucky

It'll snow more but I'd rather it not be 50 just yet.

I like where the last couple GFS runs are going. And it looks like it broke 40 at 11k' at Loveland...nuts.

I'm pretty easy to please right now. Just show me 8"+ on the snow stake at Loveland on Sunday AM and I'll be a happy camper.

I'll take the under on that, at least on Saturday with a S or even SE wind. We won't get a single snowflake with a SE wind. Taos is the place to be this weekend.

    I’m done fretting about it.

Making camp at Winter Park for the weekend and hoping big upslope and that northerly flow make it deep.

REALLY hoping for a big upslope event even though I'll be posted up in Summit this weekend. Booked this trip way back and it just figures that one of the few upslope events we get each year would fall over the same time. Crazy warm here today too. After a couple days in Breck I may have to sneak over to the Basin early Sunday morning before we hike in to Shrine Mountain.

Partaking in the Snow Ball festivities? That town is going to be a shit show, but hopefully the mountain stats pretty empty. I figure the concert-goers will be tied up with the shows and at the same time scare away most of the front range folks that usually ski there.

Just harvesting pow. The mountain should be relatively quiet. Festival goers aren't going to throw away their $150+ music fest ticket for fresh snow.

Seems like every reasonably priced accomodation in the Fraser Valley is booked up, may just have to car camp it up Vasquez Creek Road.

WP/MJ still had some fun soft spots around today. It was weird that even though it got really warm (felt like at least hi 40s) the snow never got "slushy", just softened up nice. In north facing areas, and even the stuff that was shaded from afternoon sun the last few days, there were some nice softer turns. A little refresher this weekend won't hurt at all (unlike the stick that I core shot-ed, that's why I am still bringing the rock skis up!).

That's what your mom was saying to this snowboarder at the bar so I winked at her and we split. You have a great bedroom!

NOAA loves this storm for Flail/BC, but Joel says it's going to be a miss. Oh well, as Ernest says "some men die and some men try." And by Ernest I don't mean Hemingway. I mean Ernest as in "Ernest Goes to Camp."

Last 3 runs of the GFS showing a bit more SWE each time...I'm getting optimistic again.

Had the exact same thought, washed and vacuumed the car yesterday. This isn't looking to bad.

yes, bad wind and it's moving fast. Not optimistic for western northern and central ski areas.

Looks like NOAA has upped their forecast for Loveland and the "nothern/central" mountains, plus a few more inches for the Front Range. Hopefully the storm is slowing down or changing its track slightly.

I'll take it for another Sunday pow day on the Ridge!

I wouldn’t say totals are being upped. Looks like they are simply moving accumulations into Friday PM and Saturday, instead of Saturday PM and Sunday.

Tomorrow looks to be a classic storm ski day, snow ends my midnight, blue skies Sunday. Hopefully, this storm slows the fuck down….
