wolf creek good today except all the frickin people on Alberta Lift. At least they got there late. I've never seen that place skied out that fast...still about 4 hours of goodness. Almost looked like East Wall at the Basin. Still some shots at hike to spots. Saw someone on Spats, turned out to be a maggot. Pretty cool. Sweet rig in lot on the way out

Anyone going to Silverton this weekend and runs into 3 tele skiers from Bend there, tell them that "Tap is watching, always watching". Thanks in advance

    Wolf Creek was soft.

    Very soft.

Hiked Alberta 4x and saw the evidence of a slab avalanche that looked like it went to the ground in some spots.
(on the lower portion of Alberta's steep face).

The crown looked like it was 18-24" easy.

I tried to point it out twice to Jongy McGaperstein on the hike out there and he was oblivious.

    " ... What?"

Heard from a buddy at the 'Boat. He said it was legit, and in order to not hurt my feelings, that it was "OK". That's code for as good as last years' sleeper 30" day. I hit up WP, and the 5" there seemed a little heavier than normal, which was nice for covering up the crap. A few more of those this week would be nice for anywhere. Surprisingly soft for only 5".

Scary. I was one of the first to ski off Alberta peak and saw no sign of it.

Super fun day down at Wolf. Finally got the cam sorted out on the new helmet, so I'll probably whip together a little video at some point. Mostly zipped around with the lady and skiberly, but got a little huck sesh on knife ridge when she headed in early - found a couple nasty ones right off the top.

It was in the rocky rollover on the other side of the trees - peak chutes next to the zuma bowl. Pretty big propagation. Not to ground though - that area is just really rocky, which is prob why it broke. Not a very skiable area due to all the rocks.

Monarch yesterday was a GREAT call...kind of glad I left South Fork early and ditched on Wolf to be honest. Wolf was a lot of fun on Monday, but yesterday was the shizzzz!

They reported 17" in the last 48, but with the wind loading that was (no exaggeration) 20" + in Mirk. With that said, the layer of sugar underneath has me scared for what may happen in the near future.

Had a real good time at Vail yesterday. 8” was reported, but plenty of spots where it was double digits. Met up with BambooCoreonly, got some big untracked lines right down China Bowl, Shangra La and the Earls area. After feeling the SummCo donut hole effect for weeks, for once it was nice to have some quality right along I70.

Was it Steamboat, WC, Durango or Silverton deep? Nope. Deep enough to get the double Go Pro action on? Fuck yeah.

Man, if folks in rmnp and breck are calling it windy... it must be windy. maybe a couple of inches here today, best we can hope for with the dreaded nw flow.
