^^^^Very hard pack. They didn't get much at all out of this week's storm.
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

warm and clear til next weekend. A small...very small disturbance may pass through on Wed, but mainly just some clouds. Next weekend is the best next shot at snow.

It's springtime Fish, enjoy the sun, listen to some live music on a deck somewhere and work on your goggle tan. It'll snow some more and we'll get a few more decent storms but the winter cycle is over and has been for awhile now. Almost time for big stuff to start going down in CO.

Almost time? Um, here in the Sawatch, we've been skiing big shit for the last month. Skiing the Star Mountain chutes in February?!? Yep, it got done...

Now if only it would warm enough for a nice corn cycle. Big shit may be stable right now, but the snow is generally, shall we say, variable.

^^^ Yeah I know some shit has already been thrown. That corn cycle was waht I was referring, that time is approaching. The season of early starts and early finishes, long painful slogs, and beer with friends after another line on the list has been ticked off.

Despite 35-40 and sunny the last two days, there was plenty of soft snow to be found in Aspen.

The month of Feb was the driest on record. So far the snowiest month, March, is the driest since 1908. This is state wide.
Its 60 degrees at 8000 ft in the san Juans, welcome to the future.

beautiful is more like it....a great time of year. The stoke on the front page from CO is about to get kicked up a notch. Some spring storms will roll through, but I've been saying it is spring for a long time. Enjoy

you sure are the voice of positivity these days.

I like your attitude - make the best of what you get. Coverage could be better, though. It could be a short spring season snowpack/melt wise...

should be very short in Summit. Hopefully things don't go crazy warm too soon. We all need to keep what we have at this point. Making the best is about all we can do. The lack of snow and ice makes walking easier for me and I like that.

It was pretty amazing to see how much snow melted this weekend just from Friday morning until Saturday night. We definitely need a couple decent spring storms- but I'm not holding my breath.

Shit, just let it rain down in Denver for a couple days. This is getting ridiculous.

I'm more worried about fires. The last one was only a couple miles west of me and it was headed this way.
