They've been getting more snow and I didn't have to deal with the crappy snow down low. I still have more days on Ajax than anywhere else by far.

Snow on the car this morning! ( not sure but it may have snowed more overnight last night than anytime in the last week in the Vail area)

How much of that fell yesterday before the lifts closed? I can only get the vail mountain snotel to show daily readings, not hourly.

Had a good day yesterday at Monarch. Only 4" or so around the main mountain, but the wind was blowing everything into the trees in Mirkwood, and there was easily a foot in there. Regardless of depth, it was some of the best hucking snow I've ever had the pleasure of jumping into. The day turned into a true HuckFest, and we were jumping off everything in sight. Zipper trees and Staircase were going off!!!! Many of the pillows and drops in Mirkwood are finally in, and were skiing really nicely!! Throughout the day, I'm pretty sure I accumulated over 100' of air time!!!

Heading to the Beav tomorrow. Anyone up there today? How was it skiing?
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

I would say most of the 9" is overnight or since 3pm yesterday. Yesterday was mostly not snowing, it started up again right around 4...maybe 3 or 3:30 and snowed lightly all night.

Was Great Today! Definitely windblown spots 9" or deeper. I'd say main mtn was about 6" deep, but good ole Rosy Bowl was a 9" overnight for sure.

The West Aspect trees near Stickline had 6" of new or so and were kinda tracked out and hard underneath the new snow. But still fun in that luge kinda way. Some other North to East aspects much softer, are Great! If you can find anything inside the ropes which hasn't been tracked in a few days it's deeper than a foot and fluffy

Watch out for Avy's and take all precautions. But tommorrow would be a great day for out of bounds hike to stuff at Beav. Sadly, I'll probably have to hang up my skis till weekend. Don't tell the world (even though I am right now ), but it's Cold out there and I bet there will be hike to stuff in Great to Epic shape tommorrow.

Ps. Thanks to Alpine Quest for loaning me demo boots today!

Hey Rontele- Does the ridge that builds Monday of next week look as strong and long as the previous one? Some things I've seen show another 10-14 days of warm and sunny, while others show it breaking down and more weather around Thursday.

Looks like tomorrow through Thursday afternoon could produce some good snow.... according to the local news guys, 12-24" for Vail and the surrounding areas.

Yeah, looks pretty strong with serial above normal temps for next week.

Westerlies look to push back into the west by the 10th or so.

looks like it has slowed a bit. Snowing in Vail but only in Vail and strictly land enhanced. Main stuff still to come. Tomorrow might be good at the V.

i never saw much of any returns on the radar, not sure what happened. Vail got 10 but it never snowed a flake once you turned the corner....really weird.

its too bad there isnt a school up there besides CMC, I'd transfer in a second. actually that would suck, because there would be way too many college kids around

Easily a foot on several various slopes.

2 feet would not be outlandish for those first tracks under Teacup.

Best day of the year for me by far.

Thanks for keeping an eye out Matt.
