Little unwanted advice-change the angle on camera. POV sucks as is and that was hard to sit through.
On the other hand snow doesn't look nearly as bad as we have out here in the sierra.

Yeah- my bad dude. I'm a newb with the gopro. I'll raise it up next time. Snow is not that bad, no. At this point, the Sierras deserve an 800 inch season.

I thought the bear and wolf lots are reserved for the WC?

    EV looking niiiice!
When seconds count...ski patrol, SAR or the cops are only minutes away...

If they call it Tourist Season, why cant we shoot them?

You can park in the bear lot, but earlier the better....especially on Saturday.

Make sure you get the app. I got a message via that app this morning that bear and elk lots were full and parking is now at the rodeo lot. Got that at 9:30.

Vail is a ghost town right now. The snow is pretty deep on leeward aspects. Still a bit crusty underneath, but I'll take it!

Are the buses from the Rodeo Lot taking people directly to the Village? Or are there other stops? How long were the lines?

I didn't ski this morning so dunno about lines. Coverage just started and I guess it's super windy. Calm in the floor and the sun is out. Tiger in the house to watch.

On NBCSN right now. Moved the start halfway down the first pitch of Peregrine. Looks like 11:30 start.

Just found and booked a 2BR/2BA condo with a full kitchen in Edwards for Valentines/Presidents day weekend for the normal, non holiday price- $1k total for 3 nights. Hard to believe since everything is booked for the world cup.

I'll answer my own question - from the Rodeo lot, the buses go to the Village. From there, one can ski, walk/snowshoe or take another bus up to Red Tail...

Curious though if anyone went today - how long did it take to get from Rodeo to the Village? ClusterF or fairly efficient?

Sure was! I had to tap out at one to save some juice for tomorrows supposed dumpage. Front side trees were great and cloud 9 and that area were super fun and soft. Getting better every day!

I did a lap at HV on Sunday. It was pretty good. Very windy, not super deep, but filling in well.
Not done with my drink til I've crunched all the ice

The one time I took the rodeo bus it was not too much of a cluster fuck ,but it's the World Cup so who knows.

Transferring at the village might be a problem unless you are planning on walking or skinning up

No, planning on taking the Centennial lift up and skiing over to the courses...

So, bust in the forecast, or heavy snow all day?

Should snow today but it never dropped below freezing last night. A toasty 36 this morning.

Should be solid, few inches in town last night. Warm but should be hammering snow up high. Still snowing in town lightly but consistent.

Looks like the storm is mostly missing Vail and BC and dumping on summit. It's drizzling/misting in Avon now.

Looks like summit did well. Wouldn't have known considering it was t-shirt and shorts weather in durango today.
