I can't complain too much... although the snow sucked, the temp was perfect down in Denver for my first round on the links today.

81 on a 7,400 yd course with three birdies (and a freakin' double bogey on a par five). I'll take it.

back to weather.....a good looking storm but it is fast moving. 4-8 for Eagle county, wouldn't surprise me to see some 12" plus totals in some spots.

So according to NOAA, its going to snow for a day and a half up there, and its only going to be 4-8"? Interesting.

the snow won't start in Eagle County til either late tonight or early tomorrow. It is only a 12 hour event for most spots and of course the flow is out of the SW again.

radar returns show a big dry slot just to the west of the moisture band. I'm afraid we are going to see some not too impressive totals unless the wind shifts. Fingers crossed still.

Still very early and when the cold front passes from the north, we should see a brief period of strong snow....just like the last few systems.

Today is the $$$$ day. A warm up starting tomorrow, more snow possible for Thu-Sat but less and much warmer thus higher snowlines. Props to Rontele for calling this last week sometime.

edit to add that next week is a big high pressure in force...spring time.
