Light flurries down in the city. The good news is that we've pretty much surpassed March 2012 precip totals...

^ it went from 45F when I woke up to about 30F and some big fat flakes in about half an hour down here in town.

Wish I could head up to Loveland today but have to be responsible. 6" at 5am, 7" at 6am, looks like 8.5-9" right now.

Looking like this weekend could be big for the San Juans with some nice upslope. CAIC GFS has some lofty precipitation totals for the foothills and Front Range.

so wet and manky at the house that I almost didn't get out. I did go for a couple of hours and up high was 10-15 degrees colder and the Beav had about 8" of dense hero snow. Great morning!

I got stuck in my driveway last night. The part I decided to let get snow packed went isothermal and was slush, I high centered and it compacted to dense, almost ice...
What a pain that turned out to be.

Anyhow, looks like we got a nice 6" + blanket. Should fill in some of the holes and hopefully the high mositure content is sticking well to the leftover sharks.

Really? It's sunny here, not a flake to be seen.

^^ The office is in Green Valley Ranch, quick shot of snow for 90 minutes, then sun.

Back to the mountains. Looks like some fat ass flakes and heavy accumulation at the ‘Boat. Got the base village cam on and it looks real tasty.

Really nice morning in rmnp. Got out for a quick dawn patrol before work. 4-6" in the parking lot at bear lake and close to 8" up in the terrain park. Really soft, surfy snow. Storm came through on the high end of the forecast which was a very nice surprise! With how warm and windy it was last night I had serious doubts. Some shots:

Snowing off and on up in Snowmass. Bluebird for 7 minutes, then overcast, windy, with graupel. Higher moisture content for sure, the lift lines are glazed.

Puking in Silverthorne, can't even go 30mph on I70, extreme whiteout blizzard. Super sketch. Cleared for skiing by the doc and PT, just in time. Got lucky with a super clean tear, no loss in muscle strength, agility or function. Knee feels good doing all sorts of crazy balancy jumpy shit. Berthoud tomorrow, woohoo!

Is the front finally passing now? Seems like the temps finally dropped.

Anyone else is Vail? My buddy is a lifty and reporting that the back bowls are closed and that he's currently (as of 30 minutes ago) in the midst of the strongest squall he's seen all season. Anyone else?

the back is closed due to wind and has been for awhile. Not snowing in the valley but I'm sure it's snowing pretty good up high.

Eastbound I-70 closed at the Frisco exit. Huge accident prior to the exit involving 30 + cars and trucks. Fucking mess.

Legit 12" really. Still snowing when I left at 1pm.
The older I get, the faster I was.

Socked in up high still but some blue sky in town. If the wind doesnt crank up tonight it should be really nice again tomorrow.
