hopefully we get a little refresher the next couple of days...wind direction, forcing, and other variables look somewhat iffy.

I can't complain about Vail today. Ghengis was buttery smooth for hours. Thin in places but manageable. It will be a coral reef tomorrow.
I have more skis and bikes than Facebook friends.

Breckenfridge was actually a lot quieter than I expected. T bar was rocky in spots but easy to avoid. Overall a fun day of skiing decently soft snow.

did 6 chair open? I know they hinted on their facebook (in TX otherwise I'd see for myself), but I doubt it was today seeing as that area was bare before all the new snow haha

Maybeso. Vail patrol showed a pick of patrollers with snow-blowers clearing 3' of snow from in front of the grills at Bell's. Be nice to get in there before it gets all tracked out in the trees.

How's this Christmas storm shaping up? Anything to get excited about?

Two reasonably good look storms this week. Not blockbusters, but likely advisory amounts for both storms for all mountain areas.

6 wasn't open yesterday. I'd have to wonder how it is looking given it's southern exposure even with the new snow.

It is definitely becoming more fun at breck, but don't think about bringing anything other than rock skis.

Bluebird at Monarch yesterday, skied really well. Snowing pretty decent this morning, if this keeps up it'll definitely be moar than a dusting.

EDIT: snow tapered off around mid-day, ended up only being a dusting.

I like bsb because of fun trees with a high speed lift with very little lines. not awesome -- it is flail after all -- but fun.

After traversing for 3 hours.. you have a cool place to hang out and grill a hotdog..

    what's not to love.

There are 2-3 steep enough to have fun spots.

That said, I don't miss the Flail lines.

Montane trees and outside the ropes are the only thing worth skiing. People love it though. It makes the rest of the place less crowded so that's a positive.

I like a couple in-bound pillow line areas in BSB, but most people I know just like the sidecountry access out in BSB. There are some fun little areas to play in.

Plus, didn't BSB make you internet famous?

Lulu's and Humbug are skiing pretty well up in the bowl at Breck. The gullies themselvs are filled in, but getting to it and out of the bowl is bony. No lift lines at the t-bar which was nice.

Can't say for sure. All I am noticing is that the recent, progressive flow is transition to a longer wavelength pattern (i.e., bigger pressure features)

*Big points if you get this reference.
