From my models it looks like it'll be pouring rain in the vicinity of Wolf Creek pass on Wednesday.

I'd give it a solid 2 inches in West Vail at ~8200. Should have just used the snowblower, but it was a beautiful morning to be out with a shovel. Moon was still out while the sun was rising. Would be a nice time to cruise some groomers this am.

Wolf Creek had good coverage at the base 5 weeks ago and 3 storms ago. I'm sure it's perfect by now.

Sneaky little snow band that must have moved through the Vail area last night.

Should be another round of heavy snow for Wolf/Silverton/Durango tonight. And here's a bit about how to forecast for the San Juans:

@BDKeg nice graphic, but it probably only works most of the time in hindsight. Meaning that after heavy west coast precip events, you can look back in time and see a pattern like this. However, seeing a pattern like this doesn't always guarantee an upcoming heavy precip event.

I wish at least the weather did not completely suck for the front range right now, ice everywhere that won't melt, feels like we live in Nebraska.

The snow in my driveway wasn't that light, would have called it average myself. The snow could have been much lighter above Mid Vail at higher elevation.

Really grey out there and a dusting of snow from last night.

Looking good out there...forecast pretty much on track I think. Looks dry after today, though.

I know you guys post updates here a bunch, but we're also trying to beef our our LiveSnow feature. http://opensnow.com/livesnow

PS - new iPhone app just went live. It does two things well: post LiveSnow updates WITH pictures, and get push alerts for new snow or forecasted powder days. Please test! For all other things (reports, forecasts, etc, check out the OpenSnow mobile site...it was just too difficult to build all of this into our v1.0 iPhone app and do it well).

PPS - if you have Android, you can upload a photo from the OpenSnow mobile site...no need for an app.

Well. They say 4' new in 24, but 16' in 48 and 72.

Maybe that 16' is also in the past 96 or 120hrs? Pretty mediocre snow reporting from them if you asked me. Really just wondering if that 16' has been skied yet....
