copper has no more secrets, even the powerlines get skied the fuck up. mostly by lazy snowboarders who start traversing out the moment they get in there.

^^^^^ yep, I claim it. I can have fun skiing anywhere.

It was fast groomers, ski on lifts pretty much all day. Full sun and snow was much better than expected

Fun weekend of spring conditions at WP, was hoping the snow showed up earlier yesterday but the sun was nice consolation. Heard them really bombing the cirque which I thought was strange, cornice control I guess?

Wife and I took the train up for first time- it was not efficient given it was late each way but a very neat trip. Cool to see the flatirons, eldo, the really beautiful canyon in south boulder creek above gross rez, moffat tunnel etc and the conductor was great- apparently it was his retirement train yesterday afternoon, half the train was full of railfans and others toasting his departure.

Gorgeous day out there. Three bears down with mechanical problem.

I'm wondering if any of the Ikon people want to do a low key Copper ski day? Would be nice to put faces to some names...

Bear track in the snow this morning in the back yard. Couldn't upload image for some reason.

    With what?

Too much upslope? Fucks with the biking? Can't leave the house with sweatpants on?

I say bring it! Even he says forecasts that far out will change a lot.

Any Ikon Sallies coming up for Highlands closer?

I tried to get Dex, but you just can’t help the guy.

    Not too much interest, hey?

I might be volunteering on the hill at the usasa nationals (big air, skiercross?) but I guess I can just post up whenever I'm planning to free ski. Maybe easy to meet on the hill - I'm partial to Camp Hale in the new lodge at the bottom of E lift or the comfy seats right there by the bathrooms.

Latest Tomer update canceled the insanity

I'll be out at WP after lunch is anyone is around

Shera, I'm a conditions depended skier. My time is to valuable to ski the shit days. Sun or pow only. I'd like to get a Copper day in but no guarantees.

Will the weekend to good skiing, shit weather, both?

Yeah, can't argue with that. And the sunny days will be needing time to thaw, mornings will be crunchy. Ha, I never ski full days anyway...probably head out tomorrow late morning and ski for a couple of hours.

Copper calling for 5" Sunday morning - not sure how well it will interface with the base, but could be nice in the places it blows in deeper.

Sounds like a HUGE wind event Sat-Sun for the Front Range. Downsloping winds are going to fuck shit up.
