    I got there at 8:15

Copy that. I skied the pass from ~6:30-11 this morning. 3000' of mostly nice smooth pow turns. No traffic on 70 coming or going. I know that "Colorado is full" but i barely crossed a track and I'm hardly hardcore.

Question to the fam: what’s the deal in Rocky Mountain right now? Can the park be accessed? Is bear lake an option right now?

Looks steep. Is that steeper than Wild Child at Loveland?

Heard this week that it is open and roads to HV and Bear Lake are clear.

    Wind.

    Skiing was decent before that.
LOL the wind. I was there too and it was skiing nice early. Still found rocks on west ridge but mostly from skiing badly, as I do, there was decent snow there.

Saw on twitter today Alpenglow had some kind of problem today but they had it going by 10:30 or so, MLK has been eventful for Eldora.

Yesterday from the runout, you can see the wind working:

Good stuff up in the Eagle's Nest Wilderness this weekend. 3 day camping trip, lots of great snow, especially on N/NE aspects in the trees!

Even brought a knuckledragger along with us...

Bluebird and some slightly wind-affected pow on sunday. Good way to tire out the pup. Compression and ECT tests were sketchy at ~11.5k on E facing slope above treeline near the divide.

Looking absolutely great out there, in the pictures in this thread! Giving me SDS here in Aus...

My latest take on the long term of North American weather. Colorado looks a bit more snowier from around the 10th of Feb, with some snowfall probably before it too, as the pattern changes in February.

Does anyone know of any way to get a discount ticket to Steamboat?

I know this might not be the right thread for this, but I didn't see any more appropriate threads, Thanks!

    Yup - get a 4-pack or a season pass.

It's too late, I believe, for either of these for the '18/'19 season.

So keep in mind for next year?

I'm 99% sure they didn't sell 4-packs this year because they're IKONIC now.

It may not have been 4-packs, but it was something similar (maybe the 4x40?). I got emails. Don't remember the details, 'cause IDGAF.

Edit: found the most recent deal in my Trash folder:

They sold a three pack earlier, edit: like skared said ^. I also think they did the 4 for [HWY] 40 deal with WP 18/19 IIRC.

Can still get three days in April for 139.

ALSO, team up with an IKON or Steamboat pass holder.

IKON Base pass holders can get you 25% off a window price up to 8 times.
IKON pass holders same as above but ten times. Not as good as 1/2 off but still.... its 1/2 as good as 1/2 off.

Steamboat Pass holders receive F&F ticket discounts also, unless that's just the same as IKON regular, I forget.. FFS, IKON. uhg.

I'd like to put in a request for a slightly warmer temp of about 18 degrees, a nice calm ground level airspeed under 15mph, slightly cloudy to keep the sun off the snow but allow for optimum visibility.
    Thanks

Faucet just doesn't want to turn off. If you hate traffic drive to Jackson. They keep getting pounded and the mountain is empty.

Not true. It's a skating rink right now with no redeeming qualities.
