For those keeping score, The Jane is at 329 YTD which is I believe above what is advertised as the 10yr. average. Coverage is outstanding. Don't forget this weekend is the last weekend to drink beer in the muddy parking lot listening to shitty music...on wait no it's not...this weekend is the last weekend the lifts spin...send it with a smile!

Is this where we do BC obs?

Just a quick heads up about the Berthoud area. Not quite green light spring conditions yet. Some aspects and elevations appear to be well bonded with Q3 shears in multiple hand pits while other areas, at and above tree line specifically, are tender with Q1 observed in pockets.

It seems there is a sweet spot in elevation where above the snow fell on some type of frozen/crust layer and below is trending isothermic.

    Be safe, have fun!

Same for Abasin. I think they are 3-4% above average right now

For as shitty as this season was it could have been worse

Before this storm, Vail dropped from 60% to 43% of average in one week. Saw some tracks up there this morning, so not "closed" per se.
    But yeah, bad.

Yeah, agree. Summit County and the Continental Divide in general did ok this year; there was a huge difference between conditions there and in Eagle County. Was it below average? Yes. But far from a bad year IMO. Now SW CO...that was a shitty year [emoji33]

Any reports on whether this new storm snow is settling down? Tomorrow we head into Francie's Cabin for a couple of nights and I'm curious about what sorts of options we'll have open to us.

I was told 10"+ in most spots from my buddies up in Estes. Wet and heavy, but deep.

Skied dragons tail this morning. Below TL, super dense for the most part. Only the the N-ist of slopes were cold. Above TL, exposed east facing (i.e. bananas) was getting wind jacked. The S facing couloirs were getting warm and most of the pow was hot or had slid by 7:30 when we skied. Bed surface could be nice though. N facing might be holding up, but the wind was cranking from the N, so it might be jacked too unless protected.

Keep an eye on how cold it gets at night. Tonight might be the last cold night which could make things interesting for you.

I wish...I've been too busy with the new water treatment plant project since construction started on that a couple weeks ago. It sure looked good up in the alpine yesterday.

CO mags I have a leftover F&F voucher for Mary Jane. Tried to use it on Thursday, but saw the lift situation and decided to ski the pass instead. Anybody going to closing day tomorrow looking for a cheaper ticket let me know.

Only 2 lifts running. Should be 4 this time of year. I'm sure it still skied great, but I can't do $85 for 2 lifts. Berthoud was excellent.

Rolling power outages + lots of slides, so nothing opened till about 10:30 and then it was only the gauge
