Karhu Team 100, Prophet 100 mount point

Anyone know how many mm, cm off the karhu mounting point is from the prophet 100?

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

I don't know off-hand where the mounting lines are on the Prophet 100, but here's our tech bulletin with the locations of the pinlines and boot center lines on the Team 100: http://www.karhu.com/support/techbulletin_0708.pdf

All distances are measured from the tail, flat along the base of the ski. Hope that helps.

for the 179 prophets (07/08 model) there is 96cm infront and 80cm behind (measured straight tip to tail, not how line measures the skis). from that site, the Karhu Team 100 179cm ski has 81.7cm behind and 96.2cm infront. so they are very similar, maybe 1 cm back for the karhu

on the other hand...that means that there are somewhere around 15 threads on this topic, so maybe you guys should start doing some searching. You will definitely find the answers to your questions. This is probably the most discussed ski on this thread.

I don't want to feed any trolls OR Jongs (of course I still may qualify as one due to my post count) but...

I have the Karhu 186's and I have my 2cm back from the AT mount point. At first they were mounted on that AT mount point and the tips dove on every run, even in PP and were "fidgety" to say the least.

Moving those mounting points back 2cm was the best thing I ever did for my skiing. They no longer tip dive unless I'm way forward, they carve like a mo-fo, and they float like a dream. I now need a less-curvy sidecut fat plank for the big days I want to just let 'em rip

getting a pair mounted pretty soon, same deal. If you wanted a mount slightly back would you say 3 cm is too much? or is the 2 cm from the AT line a good spot?

Anyone know the 186 Prophet 100 mount point measurements (as Karhu measures theirs here?)

I just got some Team 100's and Powtron's feedback has me convinced I want them mounted -1cm from the Prophet 100 mounting point.

The 186 Prophet 100's I have in my possession show the midsole line at 83.5cm from the tail, with the tape pulled straight to the line. Both skis measure exactly the same.

FWIW they are a friends ski on which I only have one day on hard and softpack conditions, but I already love them. I am waiting to try them in some powder and crud. With the Naxo's adjusted to my boot, it looks like I am about 3 or 4mm behind the line with a ramp angle of 4mm.

The minute I started down the hill they just felt right to me.
