Much like Tuesday, Wednesday morning was filled with fresh pow. I'd say about 10 to 12 up top, with 4 to 6 on the lower mountain. Visibility was near nothing early on - it was all clouds but not snowing. My first couple of laps were decent. I met up with hardrider and Re for lap two through hanging bowl. It wasn't completely untracked, but it was still good. At the bottom, we lost Re but picked up phUnk and Arty. phUnk didn't come close to first tram.
The next two laps were sick. We dropped off the Gad side of the Cirque traverse and got some sick freshies. hardrider said the snow was Kirkwood blower. I told him it's dense Utah cream. Either way, it certainly didn't suck.
Next tram ride up, Baldy isn't mentioned in the list of closed areas. Hmmm, where should we go? Two sweet Baldy laps capped the day for phUnk and I. A lot of people were heading out there, but we still scored the goods on run two. I love skiing smooth, fresh pow. It looks like this week might be the last of the pow for the season, so I'll be sure get after tomorrow as well. It was a lot of fun skiing with the maggots today. Those of you that missed out, stay home again tomorrow so I can ski more fresh pow.
