    Alta/Bird info PLEASE

It looks like it’s going to be a good weekend in UT. Tahoe is not so hot right now… NO SNOW! Is it worth the drive, 7 hours? Is there enough open at Alta and the Bird to spend the $250 for a three or four day trip. I am guessing I will not be hitting the bc this weekend with the big storm so in bounds it is.

Thanks a ton for the help

It is too early to tell. By the time you will be able to tell, it will be too late.

    Hope that helps!

It is quite scary to me that I was thinking the same thought as you, almost spot on.

Here is my once a year niceness to a JONG. Think of it as an Xmas present.

Good ol Roland just should me some nice colors on the news.

Brian Head is really the place to be this weekend with 1-3', more on the 3 side so says Mr. Perfect Hair.
Sunday and Monday best he says for skiing. Apparently he knows something. Or not.

    1-2' in Wasnatch.
    Depends how it hits.
Coming in starting tomorrow afternoon/evening and really getting going Fri nite/Sat.

6-12" up in the Logan area.

That is the guess as of 5:23 PM today by Roland.
My best guess is expect changes.

Buzzworthy, I’m not worthy, but thank you for the info. It’s so dry here I just can’t take it any more.

No way am I driving down to Brian Head.

I think I’ll keep my eyes on the radar until Friday at about 5a.m. and make the call from there. It could be a long drive across NV.

Just fly into Vegas, and then drive up. I think that it's a shorter ride.

C, you were not supposed to see me talking about the weather.

OK, Roland just provided a wonderful update.
Besides what I posted before, he showed the WHOLE eastern part of Nevada in the snow color on the screen and it was right behind the storm I talk about above.

I now am getting quite a bit more exited.

But I must remember it is only Wednesday.

I can delete the thread tomorrow. No one will know. Plus you never know when you are going to make a trip to Tahoe. Your good deed will get back to you someday.

The TGR board is a tough place to post. Oh crap! Some guy on Wheel, I’m a wheel watcher, just won $34,000. Forget it I am going to Vegas.

the southern end of utah will get the brunt of this storm but:
    From brianheads website:
We are open today with Chair 3 on Giant Steps operational. Lift ticket price is $15 for Adults, Children and Seniors. Children 5 and under ski free with a ticketed adult.

Chairs 3, 4 and 6 will be open as of Saturday, December 8, and if we get more snow by then, more terrain could be open. Lift ticket prices beginning Saturday will be announced later this week.

will depend on how well they can get stuff open ,to see if giant steps opens up to the top

thinking more along the lines of elk meadows, will depend on how well udot keeps the canyon road open
