    bindings for DPS 138's

I just heard back from 4frnt, and they are not going to warrenty a top sheet delam on a pair of 193 EHP's after five days on snow, so the P18's that were on the EHP's will stay on them (so they don't get drilled twice).

Question now is what binding to put on the new 138's. They will be used for mostly BC/sled skiing and resort sking when snow warrents (got a pass for revy, can't wait for the 22nd). Mostly used around the Revelstoke/Three valley gap/Malakwa area.

The skis are the 202cm, flex3, 138's. I thought of 916's, or another pair of p18's, both with trekkers, or a pair of dukes. I have no idea what to use though.

Me, 6'5'', 220, agressive skier, small hucks 0-15 ft, but like to ski as fast as possible.

    suggestions? Thanks in advance.

916's since the brakes are so much easier to deal with...

I also prefer the adjustability of the Salomons over the Looks, but that's just me. Some might say that this is a bad thing since there are more things to come loose...

Or just get Dukes and then you don't have to deal with trekkers.

You might consider the weight difference between p18s and 916s. Relevant if you are gonna use them with trekkers.

If you're using these for BC and some resort, and price is no object (with Lotus 138s, it sounds like it may not be) its hard to go wrong with Dukes. If you're going to go with trekkers and are concerned a little about weight, the STH16s are just about as burly as regular 916s and weight quite a bit less. Personally I wouldn't go p18s/fks on something that wide cause the brakes are a pain, and trekkers can be as well.

Unless it turns out that the Dukes suck, then you have an extra set of Marker holes on some kick ass skis. Which I really hope isn't the case cuz I'm putting them on 200cm 120s.

I will be putting 914's on my 138's. I would stick to the 914/916 route, tried true and tested. If you dont already have Dukes they will be a little tougher to find, as well as quite a bit more $$. I am sitting this first season out of the duke to see what happens. I have had markers in the past, 10 years ago, and have never been a fan. Have had and seen to many close calls with markers to go that route the first time they appear to make a descent binder. I really hope this spurs solly to get a simmiliar model out soon.

    Just for shits
    weights of

    p18/trekker combo = 8.11 lbs
    s914/trekker combo = 6.7 lbs
    s916/trekker combo = ?
    dukes = 5 lbs i think

What the hells the difference between n916 lab, sth 16, and n916 equipe comp ?

Me too. That would really suck to have the wrong holes in such a beautiful ski.

DPS is putting them on their entire lineup. Why? becuase wide skis with naxo or fritschi absolutely suck.
So, even if Dukes have a flaw, the hole patterns should still be good for Duke II.
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers

the sth 916 has some plastic (toe wings?) the 916 labs and comp eqs are pretty much the same. Obviously the STH weighs less.

I'm also debating what binding to mount on my 192 138's. I have always used axial 140's on my skis. I like that binding a lot but the break issue has been such a pain on my pontoons, so now I'm looking into using something else.

It seems like STH16 is a good option but I've sworn never to use trekkers again (on multiple occasions). Does anyone have experience touring on trekkers with 138s.

This definitely has never been talked about before on TGR. I wouldn't even know where to begin to search for information like that.

On another note I got an email today from DPS today asking for an extra $35 for 130mm brakes for the Dukes. As there is no mention of this on their website, even when you can specify size in your cart and price is the same, well I'm pissed.

Anybody else get this, and anyone that bought Dukes elsewhere and got the 130mm brakes, were you charged extra??

bought dukes elsewhere, DID have to pay addition $35-40 or so for the 130mm brakes.

Sucks that they didn't warn you, but you'd have to pay anyway.
    Everything is coming up Brady.
