Brett,

The stoke of this board is about the people. It isn't about images posted on the internet. If all this was were a site about pictures and dramatic trip reports I doubt I'd hang around much.

The people are why I am here. I've met many of these people, and for the most part respect the hell out of them all.

Your entire side of the issue is how much stoke do you contribute versus Jared? If so, you are on some shaky ground. I've personally skied with Jared on numerous occasions, he contributes more stoke in person than you ever can claim.

Like I said, that's what it's all about. You haven't seemed to get that in your entire time here. You continually attempt to become friends and then alienate everyone. I Know you like this type of stuff, but most of us get tired of it.

And, for the record, this flame war started in this thread by you when you told the drugged monkey to bugger off back to powder. Perhaps you didn't know MD9 was Drugged monkey. But why be negative at all?

If me trying to make sense of this, and stand by a close friend makes you feel like I am an enemy, your loss again.

Hell, lots of people must like his writings, Powder now has it as a regular feature. That's pretty damn cool. Why knock it?

When I posted that, I didn't know that he was the drugged_monkey. I was only stating my opinion that I think what the drugged_monkey posts suck. That's my opinion. I can voice it.
It wasn't a dart at MD9, but he obviously took it as that. Me not knowing that thats him only made what transpired happened.
It's cool you're sticking up for him, but why not let us feud? It's really not that big of deal.

Are you going to admit that the PMs have not been altered? You know you started this. You admitted it when you couldn't reply to the PM and then you lied saying I'd changed it. Thereby admitting you knew you were wrong. My offer still stands for someone to check my PMs.

BoB MC makes a great point about the people of this board. I've met MANY good friends and shared great experiences with them.
On that note, I'm done here.

Because to me it is a big deal. What happens if we all start feuding, posting automatically if we don't like something. What would happen is this board would probably go to the shitter.

My life isn't so great that I can do without every friend I can get. Hell, lots of times my life flat out sucks. I turn to this board to give me laughs, keep up with friends, marvel at the talent (writing, photog skills, etc) that others have, and lastly, to check out cool trip reports that get me excited enough to say to hell with work, I am making the next powder day.

--I don't log on to see fighting, bickering, etc. I wish I wouldn't have looked in here, but I happen to like the monkeys writing and stumbled into this mess.

I fight to preserve the board they way I want it to be. It is selfish, but hell, I've got a lot of time invested in this little project. I don't want to see it go down the shitter.

If you seriously didn't know I was the drugged_monkey you would've had your reply for the PMs, but you didn't reply. You've been here forever. How could you not know?

If I do give you the benefit of the doubt about not knowing you should now be able to see where negativity eventually leads if people decide they don't want to pushed around or play "ignore".

I know, I've been trying to change things and illustrate points. Evenings like tonight make me feel it's pointless though.

If things continue like this I'll be taking my first summer sabatical in 4 years of posting.

i have to agree with frozens statement:
