NWAC says 40-60 mph winds at 5k feet by Sunday afternoon. Get after it early.

Hey flow, the weather has been up and down. I am gambling it right now in hopes that it dumps tonight, but the weather is calling for crazy ass wind tomorrow.

    Be prepared.

I'll be up at first light, and should be kicking round a celebratory huck shake as well. The upper bowl opened today, and hopefully they will get another 8 to 10 tonight. I heard that the snow might bust though.

    WHOA!!!

i just steeped outside here in seattle and it's DUMPING big quarter sized flakes. i heard it was called for but didn't think we would see it till tonight. that might just change our plans for tomorrow some. driving 5 down to portland in the snow would really really suck!

well see what happens. sounds like if the drive is clean it could be a bit of a crap shoot down there. maybe it's best to save the trip for another time.

Right now I can see Timberline but not above. No wind. Snowing very very lightly. 27 degrees. Hope the storm hits.

i believe the seattle crew is now out due to a likely long drive on 5 and a so so report from today at ski bowl.

wanna come check out ski bowl this year tho. seems pretty small town awesome and that to me is exciting!

I just got home from skibowl. Nice turns early, but was real sucky when it got tracked out. People were eating it with ridiculous regularity, myself included.
I uncovered a couple of 38 inch trees in about 40 inches of snow. Took way to much effort to get uphill to retrieve my ski both times in the soft snow. Also uncovered a rock at the bottom of Pizzaz and took a tumble, fortunately I was already sketched out and going very slowly.

I saw what looked like a bunch of maggots but was too shy to say anything. Who was that guy on the monoski anyways?

I am planning on being up there again on Sunday, but like everyone is already saying: it sounds like it will be crazy windy.

Figure I'll be there hopefully by 9. I'll probably have LPs, black jacket and protec helmet and be looking slightly lost, since its new to me
Took the dog for a wander at Bennett Pass today, nice snow but not that much on the ground.

    What the Weasel said.

Got in 4 really great runs on Upper Bowl. Then bailed by 11:30.

    Saw girlski and her guy.

    Cheers!

Tomorrow morning should be all filled in, or at least more filled in. Don't know if they'll get to opening outback or even Bob Strands, Pizzaz, or Cliffhanger tomorrow. We poached pizazz, right in front of patrol today. You really have to exit skier's right before the first cliff band. There's lots of exposed rock beneath it and beneath the next band too.

Much of it still has a way to go before its filled in.

I was getting great turns in. Had fun in the 38 inch trees. Only mild damage to my boards.

    See ya manana.

I had a blast up there today and look forward to tomorrow. NOAA is calling for 10-14 over night at Skibowl Base elevation, and another 4-8 during the day, with the wind whipping and the freezing levels going up fast after noon.

The slowboarder I was with today will not be slowing me down tomorrow, so I will be looking for Odin and other nickel changers. I hollared at a Bro Modeller today and yelled at Girlski from the lift, but acknowledgement alluded me.
