"Would you say we have a plethora of rain"

    "A what?"

    "A plethora"

"Oh yes. You have a plethora.”

    ”Jefe, what is a plethora?”

    ...

“Could it be that once again Ullr is angry at something else and is looking to take it out on us?"

    Fuckyesfuckyesfuckyesfuckyes.

Don't have to volunteer tonight. Let's rock and fuckin' roll. I think the plan is to stay in Saguache and check the snow totals in the morning. Unless it would be prudent to keep Telluride on the snow radar...

I'm gonna ride in to wherever I end up tomorrow morning, just like Dusty. Nyah! Nyah!

Seriously dude, you're full of it. I'm in Vail right now, and it's not raining. It hasn't rained at ALL todasy.. It's not 39 degrees, it's 28 degrees.
    Here is proof- http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...d2=-106.39&e=1

So now that we've established it's 28 degrees, not 39, here's the average high for this date. http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...&climoMonth=11

Yup, average high is 29 degrees. Quit drinking the kool-aid.

PS-you might see that our record low for this day was set here only 3 years ago.

The dude I am seeing is named Hubie and he is apparently playing mandolin with some band. He is more of a friend of a friend though and I haven't seen him in ages.
That's Rojos Calientes...they're very sick. Any mags up at Keystone tonight should check em out at Kickapoo. I'll be there.

Chair 11 is NOT opening at Vail tomorrow, here's the list from a press release:

    Avanti Express Lift (Chair 2)
    Wildwood Express Lift (Chair 3)
    Mountaintop Express Lift (Chair 4)
Game Creek Express Lift (Chair 7)
Born Free Express Lift (Chair 8)
    Minnie’s Lift (Chair 9)
    Gopher Hill Lift (Chair 12)
    Little Eagle Lift (Chair 15)
Vista Bahn Express Lift (Chair 16)
    Eagle Bahn Gondola (Lift 19)
    Pride Express Lift (Chair 26)
3 Beginner Surface Lifts (at Eagle’s Nest, LionsHead and Golden Peak )

I suspect it's to allow for more on mountain dining options, apres in vail village, and to schralp selected groomers. I'd highly doubt if the trees are in yet, but, I've been wrong before. Beav will get more than Vail from this storm I betcha.

2 kids from the ski team are coming with. Don't worry... there will be plenty of pictures.

Thanks for the heads up, FZ. Is there cell service in Poncha springs?

Edit: Does Wolf Creek do an early snow report? 6 am or earlier?

Did you even find a place to stay there? I can't say I remember much and I drive thru there all the time.

You might be able to get some there, but service in the north end of the valley is very spotty. I always hseem to have to be about 15 miles S of there. Thare is a small spot where I can pick up service right near Villa Grove but that's another 15-20 miles N.

Why now hit Salida/Poncha. 120 miles to WC and 100 to CB but with all the amenities?

Cuz I just didn't think of that!

(That's the current plan. Would like to be able to check the totals in the morning from Salida, but that doesn't look so good if Wolf Creek doesn't update until 7:30...)

It's been raining all day in town, but I am sure it is dumping 500ft up the mountain.
