Why is it that "Old Colorado" is only brought up when events like this happen. According to all the Denver news channels (and most of the new frontrangers) the limits of "New Colorado" (which now include parts of "Old Wyoming" "Old Nebraska" and "Old Kansas"), are like this?

I guess I know where "New Mexico" came from now.

    So what's the deal tomorrow:

    1) Is Wolf Creek gonna have anything steep enough to enjoy the 2 feet by tomorrow morning?

    2) Same question for Telluride.

    3) Same question for CB

    4) Same question for Snowmass/Ajax.

    Could be Vail Sunday...

You should throw what little common sense you have out the door, take one for the team, and make the drive down to telluride. Make sure to report back regarding conditions.

    Telluride

Well its raining in Telluride. Im sure its snowing up high but its warm. Even if we get two feet nothing will open this weekend. Maybe mid week if the mountain has there act together. Opening move slow hear. Also dont count the snow until its on the ground, especially in Telluride

I don't plan on night skiing at all, and not so sure I will stay up all weekend. I have a ton of school work to do sunday.

I don't know where I am gonna ski tomorrow, but I can pretty much guarantee it will not be at Flail.

At snowmass yes. Ajax has ajax express and a bunch of blue on top of the mtn open but you were still downloading on the gondola. They were already planning on opening some top to bottom skiing by tomorrow. As to when Walshs, the dumps, Bell et al open who knows.

The Couch, and stuff off Back of Bell should open tomorrow. It was all set to go yesterday afternoon. I am sure there will be more beyond that at both mountains, by Sunday.

yeah pm me. I am only going to be good for a couple of hours, leaving town for work but I am stoked to get out.

There is no real base at Monarch but what you can't see from FZ's webcam is that they did manage to roll some of the early snow on a couple of pitches which may be good on Sunday.

What are they opening for top to bottom, Copper or Spar?

Any word on Highlands opener next weekend? Have they had a chance to boot pack the bowl? Steeplechase?

If it's not worth traveling for next weekend, I am going to St. Anton. But that will cause a divorce and I was starting to like her again.

Spar would open first, but there isn't enough snow on Little Nell yet, so I don't know where it would go. I haven't heard anything about Highlands, especially since we have had so little snow up to this point. I think everything is going to change in the next two days, so I would ask again this week.

Not a whole lot happening yet, but the Storm Watch doesn't even start until 5 PM and there are already several inches up top on Ajax.

The dude I am seeing is named Hubie and he is apparently playing mandolin with some band. He is more of a friend of a friend though and I haven't seen him in ages.
