    Salomon Helmets

Anyone have an opinion on their helmets, my dad was out looking at gear yesterday and the sales guy recommended them over Boeri because the Salomons were cheaper.
Both my dad and I will be getting new helmets this year, but don't want to buy safety gear based on price alone. If they as good a helmet and fit, then cool, but I would like to know how they compare.

    Thanks

Helmets are pretty much just helmets. Unless one or the other has met more stringent testing standards (ie snell).

Find one that fits, isnt overly ugly, has features you want/need, and you can afford.

Fit is most important-- we all have different melons and helmet makers tend to fit different heads, well, differently.

I had a leedom half helmet for a couple years, busted that, just got a giro, cant remember the model, and cant look because i peeled all the sitckers off it, but its the one with a chin guard and visor. Love that thing. I only spit straight into the chin guard a couple times.

Buy the one that fits better, end of story. Salomon and Boeri both use the same type of foam, and similar shells, so safety is not a big difference. Check to see if either passes the snell tests.
