    For Sale: 186 Legend Pro

I have a pair of 186 LP's the orange ones (from 2 years ago?). Overall they are in excellent shape. The bases have one small core shot on the edge (maybe 1" long by 1/4" wide) that was professionally filled and has never been an issue since, you'll have to look hard to even notice it is there. Other then that, the bases have some scratching from rubbing against each other while stored (which will be gone with a grind). The skis have about 30 days on them total and have been mounted once with salomon's for a 307mm (26.0). The major thing is there are a few good chips on each edge of the topsheets due to a couple of park days where I had nothing else to ski. It is common with these due to the true laminate race room construction and obviously has no effect on performance. Camber looks as new. I'll post some pics as soon as I can find my camera

    $375 shipped...

Your like asking for 75$ too much to actually have a chance to sell your skis.

New Camber after 30 days, you must be pretty light on your feet.

the price isnt that far off imo
sure it has a core shot, but these skis are burly as all hell and 30days is like 30k miles on a disel engine, ie just barely starting to break in.

    the reality
350shipped = 335$ for the skis + 15$ to ship = fair deal for both parties. (edit, but definitely pending pics)

if i needed a pair id offer him 350shipped

that and this skis seriously kickass

Hey, you wanna trade for a pair of this year's (07/08) Fischer Misfits in 186cm? They were skied at the end of last season for a total of about 5 days. Great shape. Drilled twice, first time for Markers (holes are plugged) and now for Salomon at 309bsl, a bit forward. So, you'd have a park ski and not have to redrill, and I won't have to redrill either. They are new this year in Fischer's line, alot like the last year's Aura or Watea, I believe, but with a twin, 96mm underfoot, you can see a pic in my quiver shot in Tech Talk and I can snap some more.

i think youd totally dig this skis, N.
its got most of the balls an im103 has but being much more playful, much easier to handle in tight spots (dont mistake this for being easy), and floats fantastically without mach5 speed

    do it!

I tried selling my 186LPs(1st gen, no tip&tail rivets)here not long ago for 300$ but there were no takers. So ebay got them and sold 300$shipped....Sure they were mounted twice but still. 325$shipped is a fair maggot price.

I know, I've wanted this ski for years and it's finally coming down in price that I can just get a pair and not worry about it.

May be sold...No trades...Of course I take offers, but I know where explicitly stating that from the start will get me.

...and I'm so light on my skis I don't even leave tracks

Those things still have another 300 days of life left in them; the price sounds pretty fair to me. I rode mine 80% of the time last year and love them more than anything else I've ever ridden.

Bump -- because I agree, the price is fair and the skis are the shit. I would buy them for that myself if I wasn't broke and didn't already have another pair.

    Great skis!

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

    advice?

So I am a 6'5" 215lb pretty agressive skier and I am currently using a pair of 01/02ish 190 AK Launchers that I ebayed a couple of years ago for softer days. I like them but they feel like they are a bit too floppy (maybe because they are old and well loved?)

I was thinking of upgrading but I am not sure if 186 LPs would be too slight for a man of my stature. Thoughts?

depends on where u ski and ur skiing style...if u like to go straight then you'd proly be better off with the 194s...if u arnt quite as aggresive and want something more versatile for trees and tight spots than the 186 would proly be legitament. my opinion based on ur size alone would be go with 194s

I'll take them if nobody higher on the list takes them first. Although, I will have to hide them until I find my wife a new pair of skis for christmas. I'll figure it out. Paypal or what do you prefer?

Oh yea, and my BSL is pretty close to 306. Will 912s fit in the holes?

True story. The poor bastard never gets any face shots.
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.
