I searched this camera out this summer and now I have to part with it. The S3 IS might be one of the last cameras canon made that has a solid continuous drive feature on it. With my high speed card I can snap off 2.3 frames/second until the car fills. The camera has a nice 12x optical zoom with a good sensor and good glass. After the S3 canon started to trade features like this for more megapixels, since megapixels seem to sell cameras, even when they have a shitty small CCD sensor behind them. For skiing photography and wakeboard action, I really enjoyed this unit. Selling now because I am tight on funds and would prefer to do a small pocketable camera and a used 30D in the future.
I bought the camera in august and have full receipts from ritz camera for it. I paid 349.99. The camera has less than 300 pictures shot through it. I have the original box with all accessories, most unopened. The camera is like new and has no flaws or defects at all. I always used the lens cap and never dropped it. Selling with a nice lowepro soft case I picked up for it.
$230 shipped is what i am asking. Consider the camera as new. I can't take a picture of my camera heh. This might be the ultimate point and shoot for skiing imagery. It takes really good quality video too.
Here is a sample image as it came out of the camera.(you'll have to wait till tonight, I'm on a prehistoric internet connection) very crisp. Buy so I can get skis and take a trip. I ship fast and have never had a problem with maggots.
