Aww ice, you're so clever, you're so witty. Some day I'll be just like you, and everyone on the internet will think I'm cool because I think I'm clever.

Yeah you right, someday you may be as smart as you think I am. Unlikely, but possible.

In the meantime don't shoot anybody with the guns Daddy bought you, okay? It's frowned on in Aspen, and it might hurt your folks' standing on the party circuit.

Plus, Dad and the trophy wife have things to do, man. Going to your trial would put a crimp in things.

Speaking of Dad, how's Mom? Did dad kill her or just divorce her and leave her back in Tuscaloosa? I bet he's a badass attorney (hey, he's living large in A-Town!), either way I bet he skated, nice action.

On a semi-related note, did you know that douchebags and scumbags are genetically similar and that both tend to run in families?

    Ask your Dad about it.

    And your Grandpa.

Unless your Dad knocked him off to get to the inheritance.

With all of this talk about "guns", I was really afraid someone was going to post pics of thier guns.

You can own all the rifles, pistols, and shotguns you want as far as I'm concerned. Just be honest and call it like it is. You like guns, think their cool, get off on shooting, they show off your tattoos better - just be honest about it. But save the bullshit about "protection in the bedroom". If your neighborhood is so fucked up you have to have the fire power of a squad of Marines loaded and ready to roll, then you should really think about moving.

Aside: I've been to Overland Park many times. It's not that rough of a town.

You guys who think you can locate your weapon, fire it, and hit someone to keep them from possibly harming you, with enough awareness that it's not your family member/roommate, are kidding yourselves. Ever have your drunk roomate pull his new Glock on you when you walk in from the library at 4:00am because he's amped himself into such a state of paranoia that he's in imminent danger and needs defend himself with a lethal weapon? I have. THAT's why I hate guns in bedrooms, Theodore. Guess what - I knocked it from his hand. Had I intended him harm I would have picked it up and shot him with it - statistically more likely nationally with any weapon bought for home protection.
So what is your suggestion if someone breaks in? You should forget about the baseball bat/9 iron/knife/gun? You should just dial 911 and roll over and go back to bed because you are incapable of self defense? Is you philosophy: "If you or your family are going to get raped, then you are going to get raped, so try to enjoy it"?

I'm always amazed at the extent to which people on the internet assume shit. You know next to nothing about me or my family.

What is your great contribution to society again?

And daddy didn't buy me shit. My parents moved to aspen thirty years ago when somewhat normal people could still afford a place there. I worked plenty of 70 hour weeks this summer to pay for my toys.

Tipp lives in a very nice neighborhood in the most heavily-policed city on the planet. He has deadbolt locks, an alarm system and dogs. Are you seriously suggesting he needs guns too, with two kids under 6 years old in the house?

    Get fucking real.

Who's being a pussy? You're making random ass questions and statements like a senile old man and expect them to what, hurt my fucking feelings or something? Are you really trying to prove you're what, more intelligent, cooler, more skilled at quasi witty banter than someone you've never met to a bunch of other strangers on the internet?

Why don't you stop being a pussy and come shove shit in my face. How old are you, like 70? Is that why you're asking about my parents, because you're looking for some fellow elderly ladies and gents to play backgammon with?

Seriously though, your shit is redundant. Do you actually have anything to criticize about me, or are you just going to ask me stupid questions like where my mom is?

You didn't answer my question though Ice, whats your great contribution? What is it you do anyways? Insurance salesman?

I didn't get that from his post.

But I do think that Tipp thinks everybody should share his belief/values about guns. Even if they don't live in the most heavily-policed city on the planet.

Wow, you guys can cat fight with the best of em.

I have a Stoeger (Beretta) Cougar 9mm. It's been a pretty good first handgun so far, kind of a jack of all trades master of none. I already want a couple more, it's gonna be an expensive habit, just like everything else...

For the gazillionth time.... read you short sighted fuck! I'm not saying it's a warzone by any means! Just because they look mean doesn't mean anything. I've been to Breck too... I would have the same toys there. Doesn't mean it's any better or worse.

Huckin - goddamnit. Where are we going to meet? Last fight I had to go up in weight, but it's not like I wanna make it a trend! I'll start w/ the cheese cake...

Wow, ice gets all sad about the deer and then takes the metaphorical interweb maul to leroy. Nice. Regardless of all that, IMO you need to own the mauling. It totally worked and was likely a lot less messy than the admittedly somewhat less gruesome throat slitting method.

    MTM-
I'm expecting this supreme court to engage in a lengthy and messy process of "splitting the baby" on this one that will formalize the state's abilities to place some limits on firearm ownership while also formalizing some type of clear non-military/militia firearm ownership right. In other words: status quo.

Right back at you, cupcake. I was supporting your right to own as many rifles as you want. Just be honest about why you have them. To say you need them for "protection" against home invasion is absolute bullshit -- unless you are living in Ramadi, Kandahar, or you're involved in illegal activities.

...and I said I have them because I enjoy them schnookums. I never said I bought them for protection. I don't live in a quagmire and I am not involved in illegal activities. So pull your head out of your ass and realize that these "mean" looking guns are no more deadly than a "traditional" hunting rifle. You are arguing against something I never said.

And don't quote me as saying "mean" looking guns. Those words are not in my post. You are trying to argue with me about what someone else wrote and for which I've not shared an opinion.
