    Quick Duke Question

I did try a search but I've got a guy waiting to hear from me. Does the Duke have it's own jig or does it share the Jester/some other Marker?

    THANKS!!!

It's got a wider footprint than anything else in the Marker line (or any other line, it seems), so if it shares with anything, it's only the Jester.

    That's half your answer...sorry.

P.S. It does come with its own paper jig in each box, which has only the Duke labeling on it.

I know Marker has put out jigs specifically for the Duke, don't know how different the pattern is from other Markers. This :http://thegoat.backcountry.com/blog/...ke-at-binding/ seems to indicate it's completely different, something about a special wide (76mm) mounting plate, don't know how accurate that is.

edit: beaten to it while that stupid website took five minutes to load, guess that's the answer, though.

Duke and Jester have separate jigs

was in the shop the other day and the shop owner told me

He ordered 6 pair Dukes and 4 Pair Jester's and had to buy two different jigs

he wasn't too pleased about it.
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

    Thumbs up

Thanks, dudes. I dropped 'em off with my broseph who said "he'd figure it out." Makes me nervous but as long as he mounts them before beer number 12, they'll be fine.

Two seperate jigs. I have Lexan templates for both down in Boise. They should come with a paper template that is pretty straight forward though.

For the love of god tell me you didn't give these to C-Bass! He'll be hammered by 11AM this time of year!

Affirmative. One will be mounted backwards, pretty sure.

pretty sure the duke and jester have different jigs. I just mounted my Dukes on my Nordica Blowers. There aren't any adjustments on the jig, just holes, not even a place to stick the boot in.. There's only one set of holes for the toe piece, then two sets for the heel for the small and large types of the Duke. There's no way it shares another jig with another marker binding. The Duke has a five hole pattern in the front and four in the back, I can't think of any other marker bindings with the same setup. But since it's an AT binding it makes sense that there aren't any adjustments to the sole length of the boot (because it's all one piece in the first place).
