I'll be wearing this shirt, so you all know what to look for.

Actually, it looks like I can make it but I probably won't be there much before 7. Sprite, why would you want to drive instead of taking Metro North? If you can't park on the street, the parking is going to cost you as much as paying for parking in Stamford and taking the train. Also the exact address of the old Angelo & Maxie's was 1285 6th Ave. if that helps.

I know my planning group needs a place to have dinner next week so I might be able to expense a few drinks tonight as culinary research. Snorkledeep I'll PM you my cell.

Sea2Ski...you wanna drive up together? I'll PM you my work number and you can give me a ring and work it out if you like.

Oh, and to echo someone's question...is there a code word we have to use for them to let us in or do we have to use our usual "distract and disable" technique to get in the door?

    Sprite

*Doh! I really do have to take a post-reading 101 class. In answer to your question...I'd rather drive b/c it will end up being cheaper than paying for 2 round trip train tix and taxi, etc. I'm bringing my better half w/ me.

I'd love to join you guys but I have to defend myself in small claims court tomorrow morning (and it's not a small claim).

Alright, I'm in. I should get there around 8pm with a few people(part of the asian invasion ) I PMd Armchair but I have no idea if he'll get it by tonight. Anyone know his name or if we have to be on the A list to get in? Also, what is this place called, I can't seem to find it in the thread? I'll be in all black with the shiny head Yeah, that's half of NY.
    Thanx,

I've got a soccer game after work today. Hopefully it won't be like Tuesday's when we had practice and scrimmaged this 16-year old select team. Consider this a warning to all you corporate team players that are asked to scrimmage a bunch of high school kids... DON'T DO IT! ..but I digress.. have fun tonight.

    Question

If I'm able I'll be there around 9-9:30. Mtn Man's head and Plakes shirt should work fine as beacons, if all else fails I'll call you Sprite.

Sprite, your mail box is full.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a co-worker one day. She and I were listening to the radio and the DJ on the radio was talking about all the things you could say at work but that you would get slapped for saying in a bar.

We came up with an original of our own which was...

"Just put it in my box before the end of the day."

By the way Sprite since I work in Manhattan and my car is at the Stamford station I won't need a ride but thanks just the same.

    Well,

Thanks to all for coming. I'm sorry I had little time to spend with you all, but I am very grateful for you showing up. Food, wine, entertainment etc are really secondary to the guests, and I appreciate all who showed. I am overall very happy with the way it turned out, but we have a few design issues.

Of course, this was just an introduction and any/all maggots will get VIP treatment and generous comps. I will always try hard to make any visit a special occasion. Please PM me any time you are in midtown and want the treatment.

Thanks again and apologies if I didn't see you.

Major props go out the Armchair, good luck and well wishes in the big opening today! You'll definitely do well there, the place looks beautiful, the food is top notch, service was quick, and the beer was cold. That's what a maggot looks for. Oh, the free booze and oysters also helped

Thanks for the the invite and we'll definitely be in again.

Great to see Snorkeldeep, Dex, Seatoski, Plakespear and bud, Sprite and Mr Sprite, and the TGR groupie that no one knew
Sorry if I forgot anyone else.

Thanks for the hook up Armchair. Good to finally put some faces with names and I look forward to making some turns with folks this winter if not sooner.

Also I found out that my boss is allergic to seafood so I guess it's a no go for our planning dinner next week.

Sorry to have missed. I went to see a friend of mine in a play a few blocks south and west of there with this chick and opted for the second date standard of dinner afterwards over explaining how we were going to a great party to meet my internet friends, most of whom I'd never met in person.

Armchair: no doubt the night was a huge success. Congrats buddy, sorry to have bailed.
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

Armchair, thanks and sorry I did not get to meet you. Next time though!

Good to meet the rest of you in person. Hopefully next time we see each other, we will be fully geared up and sliding down a slope in S. America somewhere.
