Dukes on my Movements, this is the first time in a while i've been worried about my boards going missing. Skied the last 3 days backcountry though, and with the current snow pack in Colorado, these things are becoming less flashy pretty quick.

you have dukes, dukes have a touring function, tour to someplace with sick pow and a good view to eat lunch, if there is nobody within a half mile, chances are your skis will not get stolen
Three fundamentals of every extreme skier, total disregard for personal saftey, amphetamines, and lots and lots of malt liquor......-jack handy

Except for umbrellas and bikes. (I had 3 bikes stolen in two years there.)

Umbrellas and mama bikes are a free for all. Dont get caught with someone elses bike either not fun. Go into 7/11 with an umbrella walk out without one.

I hate theft. I bring my skis into the base lodge even in japan.

Excellent point. Obvious, yes... but it had escaped me until now.

Any thoughts about running the lock through the touring bars?

Probably a good strategy...you can't cut them without destroying the binding AFAIK. Through the metal bars holding up the heelpiece might be even better.

Damn - I wish I handn't destroyed my sweet vintage Ski Tote trying to jam those m103's in there! I could probably get $50 for it on gear swap.
I know where there's a ski tote if you want me to grab it for you. If it's still there......

Yeah, I think that's what I meant. I just figured that there are two bars running the length of the binding, and putting something between them should do the trick.

I like using the Ski Lock but the mountain you are at has to have the Ski Lock racks. Fortuneatly, Whistler does.

Not sure what to use other than string a snowboard cable lock through any holes in the bindings?

Ooooooooh burn. Because I was sooooo calling him a crappy skier.... two months ago. MAN. I bet you could kick my ass in a ski-off! That would truly prove the superiority that you so greatly desire to impress upon us all.

197 Katanas - not your exactly the usual choice of ski for a Killington local. That's all, asshole.

yea, i'm still amazed when people ask "you're gonna eat that on the lift?" - moreso when the liftlines are long and the snow's fresh.

i do lock the dukes up when i switch skis though...
though the typical ski lock is to keep honest people honest...a wire cutter and those locks are done. hmm. maybe my old krypto round-key lock would be better...who the hell carries a bic pen with them if they're out to steal skis?
