Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care
Well aren't you special. Its gotta be hard to move 300 lbs through more than 12" of fresh.
You got laid?
yea I got laid like 3 years ago, and continue to get laid...
It snowed so much that Alyeska is closed until december and the backcountry is scary...

Nope, they spend all their money on bridges.
There's no such thing as snowing too much
Sexual climax lasts mere moments; but Deep Powder is extended Nirvana.
Ya, Im sure alyeska didnt try very hard to make it open for one of the potentially biggest money making weekends of the season.
From todays avalanche report:
Weather and Snow Observations
The Center Ridge weather station at 1800’ in Turnagain Pass is reporting 32 degrees F and 3.6 inches of water in the past 48 hours. Most of this precipitation fell as rain at this elevation since the freezing line has been as high as 3200 feet in the past 2 days; however, temps cooled off at all weather stations last night and brought some new snow to the Center Ridge weather station this morning. Total snow depth on Wednesday morning was 71 inches and today it is probably 58 inches.
Sunburst recorded the strongest winds I think I’ve ever seen at this weather station at 3800’ in Turnagain Pass. Winds averaged out of the North East between 40-75 mph for most of yesterday afternoon. Gusts of 109, 110, 123, 115mph were recorded between 2-5pm yesterday; which, coincides with gusts of 100 and 110mph during a similar time frame at the Max’s Mountain weather station at 3200 feet in Girdwood Valley. Temps stayed below freezing at Sunburst, but averaged in the high 20 degree range; so, the ridgetops at Turnagain Pass probably received a lot of snow due to the 2.6 inches of water in the past 24 hours.
Avalanche Concerns
1. The primary avalanche concern right now are possible instabilities (wind slabs and cornices) at ridgetop elevations of 4000 feet down to 2000 feet due to recent high winds and heavy precipitation.
2. The secondary avalanche concern will continue to be glide cracks between 1700 feet and 2700 feet.
3. Another concern to consider today are creeks and streams flowing underneath the snowpack. Be careful if you hear running water underneath you because the snow you are standing on could collapse.
In other words, we just got hit by a massive warm storm which has given a huge shock to the snowpack. I’ll bet that there were some large natural avlanches during the height of the storm, but those should be less likely as the day goes on with the exception of the glide cracks. Glide cracks are those fractures that look like frowns and avalanche all the way to the ground leaving a dirty scar behind. They have been avalanching every day on all aspects for about a week at elevations between 1700’-2700’. Treat glide cracks like cornices and avoid traveling underneath or near them. Human triggered avalanches will be possible today especially on stiff wind slabs near terrain features like: ridges, ribs, rock outcrops, shoulders, along the side of trees. Watch out for where the snow is tapered in depth from shallow to deep especially on terrain steeper than 38 degrees. To look on the bright side, this storm probably cleaned out a lot of avalanches that needed to come out.

I think I'm going to ride a bike this weekend instead of ride
oh well, it'll snow again.
Bullhooey.
In 1988-99 or so, I went to St. Anton.
It snowed something retarded, like 10 metres.
ALL lifts were down for three days, Avies decimated all kinds of structures, they needed to dig out channels for beginner lifts to open. it was absurd...seven days of NO real terrain open, and what was was pure white-out.
It was my very first true 'careful what you wish for' experience.

^^^^ that's priceless
Hmmm. Sounds like it rained too much to me...
I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.
