    Area Forecast for:West Slopes Central Cascades and Passes
    Including: Mt Rainier WA...Sunrise WA

    Tonight: Mostly clear. Freezing level 5000 feet. East wind in the passes around 10 mph.

    Thanksgiving Day: Sunny. Freezing level 5500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the mid 30s. East wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

    Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Freezing level 6000 feet. East wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

    Friday: Sunny. Freezing level 6000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. East wind in the passes around 10 mph.

    Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Freezing level 6000 feet. East wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph in the evening becoming light.

    Saturday: Partly sunny in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of rain and snow. Snow level 5000 feet.

    Saturday Night Through Wednesday: Rain and snow likely. Snow level 3500 feet.

    I may be wrong, but I think Mission has the ONLY snowmaking in Washington.

    Snow coming back on Sunday, with next week looking promising.
    Living vicariously through myself.

    with the exception of a few seasons, we don't really need snowmaking on the west side

    the ski areas might need quite a bit more on the lower elevations but the "magic carpet" is running just fine.
