Does anybody here have a recommendation for some aviator-style goggles? I'm sick of breaking goggles in my pack. I want something to put in a hard case, but I don't want it to be as big as normal goggles would be in a hard case.
TIA

Get a semi-soft case for your goggles. I have this one from Lowe Alpine (was around $5 from STP awhile back):

Not that much bulkier than the goggles themselves.
Thanks for the suggestion. I may do that.
I'd still be interested to hear if anyone has experience with some type of aviator-style goggles.
guess i'm not sure what you mean by "aviator style"--might i humbly recommend some oakley a-frames or crowbars, those things are the most durable/best ventilated/optically clear goggles on the market. I've slammed mine in a car trunk before, and they bent right back into shape. there is absolutely no way you can break a pair in a pack, and you don't even need a soft case. plus the warrantly would cover everything but scratches on the lenses (easily stopped with the microfiber cloth), so if you truly do bust them up just send them in and get em fixed.
pan optics
army surplus would be cool, if you could find them tinted......i think i saw some old old japanese ones that were.
