No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent
I'm a shake shack man myself. Nice and simple.
shake shack kills for sure-
No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent
How much is the burger, $18.00?
reminds me of one of those Miller commercials where they take the beer away.
White Castle. Looking forward to going back to the old hood and getting that almost as much as the turkeyday spread. My wife finds this disturbing.
Went to burger joint for lunch today. Good enough for me.
I prefer Burger Joint to Shake Shack, but JG Melon or Corner Bistro to either.
OL, check out Strip House sometime if you haven't already- or maybe you don't like mashed potatoes lovingly prepared with goose fat.
Courtney’s “Top Burgers in NYC” list:
1. McHales (sob…. Now closed) have yet to find somewhere that kicks this off the “best burger ever” #1 spot
2. Rathbones- UES, served on an English muffin, great bacon cheeseburger
3. Royale- east village, really good, kinda “hidden” spot
4. DB burger- the original burger at DB Bistro Moderne… very decadent, sirloin burger filled with braised short ribs, foie gras, and black truffles. It’s $32 and will leave you full for a week
5. Smith & Wollensky burger
6. Hurleys- on 48th between bway & 8th… remiscent of McHales
7. Mollys- pretty damn good! Also great atmosphere
8. Donovan’s Pub- in Queens, but worth the trek
9. Spotted Pig- Batali inspired English pub, warm beer, very trendy, the burger is great
10. Soho Park- on Lafayette in the village. GREAT find. Just what the neighborhood needed, a place for cheap burgers in the midst of all these trendy overpriced places. The burgers are kinda greasy and you will feel like you need a bath afterwards, but still worthy of this list… also the onion rings here are great and come with some cool sauce options for dipping.
Other places not on the list-
Joe Allen- on W 46th St, haven’t been but supposed to be good.. according to chowhound, “Not only do they have what I consider the best hamburger in NYC, they have so much character. It's a major hang out for working actors and the best time to go for a full-on dose is after 10pm or on Sunday evenings after 6pm.”
Corner Bistro- routinely brought up as “the best in NYC” although I wasn’t crazy about it. Worth checking out for yourself to find out what the hype is about.
Shake Shack- meh, not a fav, but the concretes are good
Oh, PJ Clark's is pretty good too.
I think that people call White Castle burgers "sliders" because White Castle calls them "sliders."
don't know if nyc has one................"5 guys burgers and fries". a must hit if there is one around.
If I'm ever in NY, I want Courtney to show me the beef.
