    30D vs. 40D

Anyone care to sway me in a camera direction. I can't decide if the 40D is worth the extra cost. What would you suggest?????

IMO, if cost is the issue, i'd be choosing between the 20d and the 40d. The 30 didn't have enough improvements over the 20 to justify the increase in cost. OTOH, the 40d has some very nice improvements, such as a bigger viewfinder, 6.5fps w/ a 17 frame RAW buffer and (supposedly, i haven't tried it) better AF system.

peruse this thread for a brief overview on the improvements, or check out FM for an ad nauseam discussion.

edit: you can get a used 20d on KEH for under 600. i went that route a while back and was not disappointed.

Thanks Smalls! I was only considering between the 30 and 40 becasue of they are on sale at a local camera shop. I looked, they don't have the 20 D.
