So once again spring is here and I am set up with this horrible delima. School or skiing next year. Over the past couple of years I've learned that there is no way I can do both (well I plan on getting 2 days a week but come on, thats not a full season). I need one or two years left depending on the school I choose/find (note still looking for a good paramedic program) and given the situation will need to work full time durring in order to stay alive. so that dont leave much room for skiing. I'm gonna need some persuasion in order to pull of the no skiing thing. or a plan on how to pull it off while skiing but advise is welcome/wanted/needed. I'm too damn confused. I love my job, but will that be enough to miss out on skiing? 30-40days max per year?
i finished school....and finally moved to UT to ski as much as possible this year. It's a major relief that school is over with and i'm really glad it's over and i don't have to think about it anymore.
on the other hand....you have someone like Shredder/dynameg who came to the maggots with the same question and decided to ski full time and put school on hold and LOVES the decision.
i know that doesn't answer your question, but thats my 0.02 for the time being.
that....and i also think one or two days a week is better than no days a week.
Well there is no reason why you shouldnt get more than 30-40 days a year. I go to school on the east coast and get 50 days a season, without jeopardizing my schoolwork by much. This is with a minimum hour drive to get to the hill also.
You just have to be creative with your scheduling, and willing to work hard.
