I'm trying to maintain the IPOD. Question- once the IPOD downloads songs, do they rearrange themselves as you rearrange your library? Do they delete songs you delete from your library, etc.? If not, how to you keep that damn thing in line!

yeah, there is this thing called itunes.. yeah, um, click all those different options on the left, I think it'll come to you. Your library is everything, the selection that makes it on to the ipod is based on your playlists and such...

There are different ways to sync an iPod with iTunes. When the iPod is connected there's a screen with sync options. If you have space then you can sync everything -- songs, playlists, podcasts, videos, etc.. If you have too much stuff you can sync individual playlists.
When you plug in your iPod it updates the played count and last played data in iTunes. Handy for smart playlists or when you're picking songs by "least recently played".
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.
